We would also like to say a big thank you to Rosalie’s mum for coming in to help us with our last month’s topic. The children got a lot from this so thank you. Our topic for this month will be ‘Mini-beasts and growing’. The children will get the chance to observe how plants grow and how we can care for them. We recently went out on a trip to the local supermarket to choose seeds ready to plant. Your child will also get the chance to search for and create their own minibeasts. There will be a lot of artwork and creations coming home so please check your cubby holes daily! If you are bringing in a spare bag for photo day, please label the bag and inform your keyworker! Due to a new health and safety policy, if and when you bring a water bottle in, these now need to be washed at home and taken home every night. It is to prevent illnesses and cross infection. We do have a water station which children are able to access at all times, so if they are able to drink out a cup you can always leave the bottle at home. As the weather is very indecisive at the moment, please consider this when dressing your child. Please still bring in a coat for them to wear in the garden and on walks.

Your mission this month is to: -At home with your child, could you please plant a flower, seed or plant of

their choice and encourage your child to feed and care for their plant. Once it has grown, you could bring it to nursery so we can plant it in our garden so we can create a patch for the children and help them recognise the plant cycle.
