We are also having a royal wedding of Prince Harry and Megan. To celebrate these, we are going to have a party! We encourage your children to dress in red white or blue and we will hold a tea party to celebrate these two great occasions. Our lunch for that day will be a hot meal and the practitioners will plan lots of activities and games for the children to join in with! Signing in and out: Please read this important notice It has been brought to our attention that not many people are signing their children in and out of the building. This is a LEGAL requirement, an important health and safety document as well as a child protection one. If there is an evacuation for whatever reason, we use this to check who is present. This could be the difference between a child safely out of the building and a life at risk. Please sign them both in and out. Our practitioners try to remind you where possible but they are often very busy so please remember to do this yourself. Thank you for your co-operation and understanding

Thank You:

We have a few thank you’s to say for this month, firstly to Amanda’s mum for the cake donations on our cake bake. They were all homemade, delicious and sold very quickly so thank you. We would like to say thank you to Shayan and family for clothes and shorts donation. They will come in very handy when we have water play in the summer. And lastly, thank you to all of you who supported us during our fund raising for the nursery. We managed to raise just over £490 which is a big help in working towards purchasing new equipment. Keep an eye out on Facebook for an update of what we purchase.

Suncream:

If your child does full days (even if it is two) please supply a bottle of sun cream for your child. We will label it and return it to you at the end of the week. If your child does a morning or afternoon session, please apply some before you come to the setting! We will be going out and about much more making use of the vitamin D from the sun.

If your child is going to school in September:

You should now have heard where they will be heading off to in September. Please do not forget to inform us of your choice. If you are applying for school nursery, please be aware the application closing date is 4 th May 2018. You will need to download the online form and apply to the schools directly. Please also inform us if you r child is going to stay on with us for the following year.

At the end of the day:

Please be aware that the building closes at 6:00pm, we have cleaners waiting to start and we get charged extra for every minute they cannot enter the building. Please make your feedback with your key worker brief and be in the building at 5:50pm. If you arrive later than this, our practitioners will be unable to give feedback. If you would like to have a social chat with parents, we love that you do this, but please make sure it is outside of the lobby. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

News from Baby Studio – Simran, Mary, Nabila, Roshelle and Amanda: We would like to welcome Daniel into our room! Focus: PSED Our focus for this month is personal, social and emotional development. The older children will begin to have play sessions in Small steps, (where numbers and ratio allow) supporting them with their eventual transitions as well as giving them a chance to explore a new environment. They will visit with a familiar adult and be encouraged to bond with new faces. The younger babies will be encouraged to join in planned activities supported by a familiar adult which will help them develop their social skills and playing alongside others.

Home Mission: During the weekend, introduce your child to new faces. This could be with family and friends, see how they react with unfamiliar faces. This will help your child to socialise with new people. Other reminders:
