We would like to wish Tracey, Gemma and Pauline a very happy birthday for this month. We are currently recruiting for a couple of positions, so if you know anyone looking for a job and has a qualification in childcare, pass on our email address and get them to send in their CV’s : info@harvardparkdaynursery.co.uk. Please be aware that our setting will be closed on Monday 6 th May and Monday 27th May due them both being bank holidays. Our Annual Teddy Bear’s picnic – 20th May and onwards The week of the 20th we will be having our annual teddy bears picnic so we will be asking all of our parents to bring in a teddy bear from home. We will keep them onsite until the end of the week, unless your child wants to bring in a different teddy each day. Please be aware that this may change weather depending. Photo Days in May: Baby Studio and Small Steps will be having their photo’s taken on Tuesday 14th May. Freedom Zone’s photo day will be on Wednesday 15th May – they will have portraits, graduation photos for those who are leaving and a group photo too. If neither of these are your child’s day, please speak to management or your room leader to book in a time to come and see us to have it taken. Our photographer will be in in the morning and in the early afternoon. If your child is having a graduation photo, please do not put their hair up as the graduation cap will not fit. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask us. Health and Safety issue – Requests Please do not bring your child in jewellery such as bracelets or necklaces that have not been agreed in your contracts. We are not responsible for this going missing or if your child takes it off. Due to health and saftey they should not be wearing any form of jewellery unless this has been agreed. As the warmer weather is coming please do not send your child in cros, flip flops or summer sandles – only filled summer shoes. It is a health and safety issue for your child so please do not send your child in these kinds of shoes. Thank You Lastly, when it comes to feedback at any time of the day, please limit it to 10 minutes – no longer. If you are here after 5:50 pm or 12:50 pm you will only receive a 2 minute feedback. If after 6:00pm you are still here, we will begin to ask you to leave. Our pracitioners have had a long day and wish to go home at the end of their shift. Please respect this and only get feedback from one memebr of staff. Also, please do not interupt other parents when they are having feedback. Kindly wait your turn, it is rude and makes other people under valued. Once you are in our building your children are your responsibility. We are not responsible for your children while you are having feedback. Requests – Reminder about Birthdays and Party bags: It is lovely that you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday with us and the children love to celebrate with their friends. Just a small reminder about party bags, where possible as we do try and support healthy eating as much as possible, fruit or fruit alternatives such as raisin boxes or fruit snacks are more than enough. Other options could include a book or a small colouring book for the children to take home. In terms of cake, shop brought cakes are best. Make sure there is always a list of ingredients on them and can we please request no fresh cream cakes. Character cakes from supermarkets are more than enough for children – prefereably not choclate. Please look at the other document attached on this newsletter for further dates for the rest of the year. This includes our end of term party dates for the nursery and also our concerts days for Freedom Zone. Please make sure you have a copy of this document so you are aware of the dates.
