If you have any old wrapping paper, buttons, Christmassy things, ribbon etc. we would love to have them for our Christmas activities in December, it would help us out a lot. As we transition onto our online EY log profiles, we ask you to be as patient as possible. We have set up our profiles, and are beginning to transfer all the data onto them. We will be linking you into your child’s profiles within the next two weeks. You will get an email saying EY log, this will ask you to set up a password of your choice and will then take you onto the profile pages. If you have more than once child with us in the setting, it is only one password and both profiles will be visible to you. You can also download the app which is for Apple and Android. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask us and we will try and help you as much as we can. If you have any kitchen or loo rolls heading out for the recycling or any rolls of wallpaper going spare, we would be really grateful for them as they come in handy for activities and mark marking sessions. We would also like to wish Nehar, Qani and Viviana a happy birthday for this month; we hope you have a lovely day!

News from Baby Studio – Simran, Mary, Marisa, Nabila, and Sherry : Welcome to November and welcome to Riley, Brooke, Anjola, Aishna, Daniel and Isla! For this month, our focus will be on developing language in our room. We will do this through many forms such as role play in the home corner for the older children who are beginning to create or develop their single words; through song times using simple signs and gestures to encourage non-verbal communication and through the use copying sounds and noises the children in our care might make. Can parents please join our Facebook site as we are trialling our news letters on our new site to save our trees! We will of course print of a few copies to those parents who do not have access to a computer. We will also display a copy on our parents table. .

We will also be doing lots of activities which will help strengthen the muscles of the younger babies in our care who have just begun to crawl. This will include lots of tummy time with the practitioners and encouraging them to pull themselves up. A few reminders for the month of November: - Nappies and Wipes: Please provide a sufficient number of nappies and wipes. We do request them when they are getting low, so please try to get them to us the next day. If we do run out of spares we have, we may have to call you to come and collect your child. - Change in weather: Please supply us with a coat or warm jackets so we are able to continue going out on walks. Where possible please ensure we also have a pair of shoes or warm foot wear. - Signing in and out: Please do this as you leave and enter the building. It is a very important document for fire evacuations and child protection. We will try to remind you but please do this every day.

Your mission this month is to: - Encourage your child to feed themselves at home. We know they will get messy so leave them in a baby grow or in the warmer weather jut their nappy. Wrap the highchair in Clingfilm or put newspaper under their chair to prevent further mess. Give them a spoon and you have a spoon to model the good eating . They will get the hang of it in no time 

Dates and notes: - We would like to wish Nehar a very happy birthday for the 4 th of this month. Please see the table in the managers section for the important dates in December!!

News from Bunnies –Holly, Sam, Sukrage and Gurpreet:

Hello, this month we will be focusing on developing our physical skills and self- ind ependence. We would like to encourage you to let your child do things for themselves; whether it is as simple as letting them choose their t-shirt or putting on their socks – allow them to have a go. To highlight this important topic, the children will be spending lots of time with the dressing up and spare clothes – learning to dress themselves, experimenting with the large wooden blocks outside as well as equipment such as scooters and a variety of mark making materials. Physical development is one of our prime areas of the EYFS and is important to highlight and develop on a daily basis. We will also be doing some junk modelling throughout this month so if you have any resources such as tissue boxes, cardboard tubes, plastic bottles etc. please could we have them as we also need to start collecting for Christmas too. Thank You. We are also going to be looking at Bonfire night and creating our own firework pictures using paint and glitter so make sure your child is dressed in old clothes which you don’t mind getting messy! A few reminders for this month: - Leave toys at home: Please encourage your child to leave their own personal toys at home or in the car. We are not responsible for them and if they go missing it will upset your child. Explain to them that they can have it when you return to pick them up. - Labelling clothes: Children will end up having the same coats, bags, shoes – it will happen. Please make sure you are writing in their names-marker pens are best. We are happy to do this for you however we need your permission to do this. - Change in weather: Please provide the nursery with a coat or warm jacket for your child. We go out in all weathers. Please dress your child appropriately for the cold weather.

Your mission this month is to: - Encourage your child to do at least one thing a day for themselves. This could be anything from putting on their coat or hat by themselves or feeding themselves at meal times.

Dates and notes: We would like to wish Maksim a happy 2nd birthday for 25th of this month. Please see

the table in the manager’s section for the important dates in December!!

News from –Viviana, Chelsea, Sonia, Salina, Vaida, Qani, Marilyn and Nabila A:

Harvard Park Day Nursery Feltham: November Newsletter 2016.

IMPORTANT: Our signing in board is located by the door, please do not forget to sign your child both in and out when you enter and leave the building. It is an important document which we use for many things including fire evacuations. P.T.O Hello, firstly we would like to say thank to Rhys’ dad for coming into to carve a pumpkin with the children in Freedom Zone. They thoroughly enjoyed this and got lots of new learning from this so thank you! Our topic for the month of November will be ‘Keeping Safe’. We chose to do this topic at this time of year for several reasons. Firstly, Bonfire night is approaching and we look at staying safe around fire and sparklers; Secondly, it gets dark very early so we look at staying safe around roads and stranger danger; and thirdly we look at people who help us such as the fire and police services and how they can keep us safe. We also talk about how to stay safe at home, for example, not touching irons or straighteners if you see them out or on the floor. If any parents or family friends have an occupation which involves keeping people safe, then please volunteer to come in and speak to the children of Freedom Zone about what it is you do. Please approach Chelsea or Viviana to set up a date. Thank You. If you have any junk modelling resources such as plastic pots, cardboard boxes, cardboard tubes etc. Please could we have them for our creative area? We will also need some for our Christmas wrapping station in December too! A few reminders for this month: Water Bottles: We would like to discourage the bringing in of personal water bottles. Some are not being taken home and it is not our responsibility to keep them clean. We cannot stop children sharing bottles and this will encourage cross infection of germs. We provide water and clean cups everyday which children can access at any point. Please consider the contamination aspect of personal bottles. Change in Weather: The weather has got a lot colder after the last few weeks. Please provide your child with hat and gloves, labelled with their name, so they do not go missing or get lost. We do have spares but not enough for everyone.

Your mission this month is to: - Talk about saftey in the home with your child. Explain in simple terms why we should keep ourselves safe and how we can do this.

Dates and notes: - We would like to wish a happy 3rd birthday to Sara for the 11th, Henry for the

12th, Kartik for the 14th and Reyansh for the 30th of November. We would also like to wish a happy 4th birthday to Isabella for the 9th of this month. Qani will be celebrating on the 13 th and Viviana will be celebrating on the 26th of this month. We hope you all have lovely days. Please see the table in the manager’s section for important dates in December!!

Can parents please join our Facebook site as we are trialling our news letters on our new site to save our trees! We will of course print of a few copies to those parents who do not have access to a computer. We will also display a copy on our parents table. .
