News from the Managers, Nicki and Tracey and Deputy Manager, Carol – We would like to say hello and welcome to our new families, friends and staff members. We would love to hear from you! If you have any feedback to give us, positive and constructive we would love to hear it. Our door is always open so pop in and see us sometime. We have recently had our OFSTED inspection and we are very proud to announce that we are now an Outstanding nursery! We would like to say a massive thank you to our team for making it a safe, stimulating and exciting place for children in our care to be lifelong learners, thank you to parents who spoke to our Ofsted inspector on the day and thank you to all of you for your support throughout the years as well as in our Parents in Partnership. Together we have made this happen and we are an Outstanding nursery. We would also like to say happy birthday to Vivivana, Latifa, Danielle and Qani (who will be celebrating her 21st). Importance of checking your emails: If you have provided us with an email address please make sure you are checking this as regularly as you can. We send out invoices, payment reminders, important notices, date reminders and documents to your email address that you have provided us. If you need to change this for whatever reason, please come and do so ASAP. Please look out for EY log emails and if you have any questions regarding this, please come and see Amy S or Carol in the other office. News from Baby Studio – Simran, Mary, Nabila, Roshelle and Amanda: Our next parent in partnership: Friday 10th November at 5:00pm We will be making homemade mud. We have limited places for you to come and join so please let us know if you are interested.
Focus: Personal, Social and Emotional Development To help support our focus for this month, we will be doing many activities linking to PSED. The older children will have opportunities to visit Small Steps to help with the eventual transition into that room . It will also help them to socialise with new staff and children as well as explore new environments. The younger children will take part in planned activities which focuses on body parts such as reflective mirror play, tummy time and musical movement.
Home Mission: Send in some family photo’s for us to create family albums for your child. Our babies love these and they will follow them from room to room to help with the transition. You can email them to us, send them via private message on Facebook, post them onto the EY log profile, bring them on a USB or bring hard copies that we can photo copy.
Other reminders: - If your child is full time, please try to provide us with 2 milk bottles. - Please bring in extra nappies and wipes when asked. We have a limited amount of spares and if we run out we will have to ask you to come and collect your child. - Signing in: It is a legal requirement for you to sign your child in and out of the building. It helps us in a fire evacuation and also child safeguarding. The board is by the door as you enter and leave.
Birthdays and other notes: We would like to wish Zakariya a happy 1st birthday on the 5th and Happy 1st birthday to Kader on the 27th of the month. We hope you have lovely days.
News from Small Steps – Chelsea, Latifa, Lucy, Gurpreet and Sherry: Welcome to Isla, Nivi, Prisha, Shriya, Liam and Archie who are now settling into our room. Goodbye to Tejasvi, Sumayra and Rishika who are moving up to Freedom Zone.

We will be making Christmas crowns and singing some festive songs. If you would like to come and join us please let one of us in the room know.
Topic: Let’s Pretend! The children will have fun engaging in role play activities, exploring the home corner and dressing up. We will provide activities which will give children an insight into occupations, other cultures and use their imagination. This covers lots of areas of development but focuses on Personal, social and emotional as well as communication and language.

News from Freedom Zone –Viviana, Sam, Sonia, Qani, Marilyn, Nabila A and Hubert: We would like to welcome Tejasvi, Sumayra and Rishika who are moving into our room from Small Steps. We would like to say thank you to all the parents who joined us in the Diwali celebrations. We would also like to say another thank you to Shayan and Neel’s daddies for doing pumpkin carving with the children for Halloween. We had a lovely visit from Vihaan’s brother Vidyuth, who played a song on his keyboard for the children to help them with last month topic! The children loved it so thank you to you too.
Topic: Keeping Safe
Home Mission:
This topic is a very wide topic and we will be covering: -Keeping safe in your environment and at home - Road safety and Stranger Danger - Fire safety including Bonfire nights and practise fire alarms.
If you have stairs in your home or around you area, take some pictures of your child trying to tackle them and post them on their EY log journals. Talk to them about how to stay safe when going up or coming down.
We will be being pro-active when teaching children about safety by getting them to help with health and safety checks, while out on walks pointing out dangers they can see and discussing who we can turn to if we need help i.e. the police or a teacher. We will also be doing some Bonfire based activities such as firework painting as well as making a poppy wreath for the memorial to celebrate Remembrance day.
Birthdays and other notes: We would like to wish a happy birthday to Parisha for the 1st, Dominic for the 14th and Maksim on the 25th. We would also like to wish Qani a happy birthday for the 13th and to Viviana and Danielle on the 26th of the month. We hope you all have lovely days!

The weather is changing so please dress your child appropriately for the weather. Thick coats and closed-in shoes are best at the moment. Please consider this before coming to nursery.

We have had a few issues with parents or carers taking home the wrong coats. Please clearly label them.
