We would like to say a big Thank You to all the parents and staff that came to the coffee morning on Saturday to support and raise money for Macmillan Cancer we are very grateful. Also to everyone that made cakes for the morning they were all very YUMMY!!! Thank you. We have raised A GRAND TOTAL OF £690. Could we please remind all parents that when your child is changed after accidents could you please return all clothing that belongs to Harvard Park – we have got into the situation where we have no tights/pants/socks in our cupboards! Please return thank you.
News from Deputy Carol-
Just a reminder to all parents/carers in Freedom Zone we are still selling book bags, so if you are interested and your child has got one yet please ask your child’s keyworker or come and see me, Nicki or Tracey. Please remember the children do choose their own books and they are for you and your child to read together, they are not expected to read it themselves. Thank you
News from Baby Studio –Sana, Mary, Nabila, Marisa, Ersa and Nehar: We would like to welcome Nilan and Neel to Baby Studio. Our theme for this month is Physical Development. We will be focusing and supporting the babies to develop their motor skills by providing them with lots of different activities such as painting using different tools, puff pastry play, feeding at meal times, climbing on soft big blocks, jumping, crawling and walking. We will also support babies to develop them physically through tummy time, to sit unsupported and walking using the walkers. Your mission this month is to: - to bring in family photos, encourage your child’s physical development, speak to your child key person about it. Please can we remind you to label all your child’s belongings. Dates and notes: - Happy Diwali to everyone. We would like to wish a happy 1st birthday to Maksim who is celebrating on the 25th and Aryan who is celebrating on the 26th. We hope you both have a lovely day. News from Bunnies –Holly, Sam, Sonia, Qani and Parul: Hello firstly, we would like to welcome Lea, Harley, Sanjana, Mahathi and Pharrell into our room. We hope you all have lots of fun with us. Our topic this month is ‘Music from around the world.’ To highlight this wonderful topic, the children will be participating in lots of activities such as Instrument making, cultural dance – such as tap, ballet, bangra, African, belly dance and flamenco, as well as a cultural dress-up day, where we will be dressing up in something that represents our cultures.(more details to follow). If you have any traditional/cultural CD’s at home, please bring them in, labelled, so we can listen to them with the children.(They will be returned). We will also be celebrating Bonfire Night on the 5 th, Diwali on the 11th and Remembrance Sunday on the 13th, all of which will cover various fun activities. A few Reminders: • Please remember family photos for family in trees. If you are unsure please talk to your child’s keyworker. If you would like to begin potty training with your child, please speak to your child’s keyworker for more details. We aim to begin looking at potty training when children turn 2.
Your mission this month is to: - When listening to music with you child, try tapping out a sequence or regular beat, you can add counting or singing aswell. This will help to increase memory, listening skills and hand-eye coordination.

News from –Viviana, Chelsea, Pauline, Kulwinder, Sherry, Vaida, Gurpreet, Simran and Claire: Hello, this month our topic is all about ‘Keeping Safe.’ We will be visiting our local area to look and find Safety Signs and what the mean. Also talking about how we cross the road and when it is safe to. We will be doing lots of role play learning about Emergency Services too and how they all keep us Safe. This month we will also be celebrating bonfire night on 5th so we will be talking about the safe around fireworks and what we should and shouldn’t do. Christmas is near so if you could please bring in any unwanted Christmas decorations for the children to explore through play using them to support activities and to use in role play. We will also be celebrating Diwali on the 11 th and Remembrance Sunday on the 13th doing lots of fun activities around this topics.
Your mission this month is to: -Help your child to identify Hazards within your homes so that they have a better understanding of how to identify hazards to keep them safe. Whilst out with your child help them to recognise road safety, identify safe ways to cross the road • Holding an adults hand. • Waiting for the green man. • The use of a zebra crossing
