Harvard Park Pre- School LTD.

Notes from the management team: We would just like to say welcome back to all of those who are retuning to us in November and welcome to all of our new Harvard Park children and families. Thank you for all of your support during this unprecedented time, we really do appreciate it. Have you downloaded the ParentMail and EyLog apps? They are both free to download and register with. It is important for your partnership with us to have these downloaded and accessible to receive notifications about your child’s learning as well as important notices such as closure dates and reminders. The 2nd Lockdown - Harvard Park will remain open until Boris and the government or Hounslow Early Years say anything different. If there are any changes in our circumstances, we will update you. On a lighter note, we would like to officially welcome Ayesha, Roshelle and Asha to our team. We would also like to welcome Gurpreet over from the Day Nursery in Feltham. She will be helping us out until the end of Christmas. They will be introducing themselves to their keyworker’s families as and when they can so please be patient. Reminder about agreements which were emailed to you in October: Agreements (which were emailed to you in October) MUST be sent in and is a requirement from Early Years. They are coming in slowly but please send your agreement back if you have yet to do so. Coronavirus update: Please check your emails / ParentMail account and attachments for the updated safety measures and points to remember. Please make sure you continue to support us and the school by wearing face masks while on the school grounds and adhering to the restrictions and guidance put in place.

Reminders: Clothing and the weather: Please bring hats and gloves! We don’t have spares on site so please make sure you write your child’s name inside the hat and each glove to prevent them from being misplaced! We also need you to be sending children in THICK winter coats or if in waterproofs, provide an extra layer for them. We are keeping the doors open to keep a constant flow of clean air through the room to reduce the level of germs within the building. All children must have a jumper every session.

Well done to all those parents who participated in Halloween activities with their child and posted them onto the EyLog. It was lovely to see. We would like more of you to use the EyLog to upload pictures of what your child has been up to during the weekend! It all helps work towards your child’s development here. If you need help with this or are unsure, Amy has put together some instructional video’s which can be found on our Facebook page.

Children MUST be in the setting by 8:45 am and 12:45 pm. Some of the children are missing important learning time. Staff members are not always available to continue to go back and forth to the gate, so if you are running late, please call us and when you arrive please wait for someone to let you in.

Notes from Pre-School: Cool Cats Topic: Emergency Services and People who help us Hello and welcome to November. Welcome to all of our new children who joined Harvard Park this month— we are excited to have you in our room and cannot wait to get stuck in to lots of activities with you! Our topic for this month is all about the emergency services and people who help us. We feel that this topic will be extra important as the frontline workers have done such an amazing job during this pandemic. We will be doing lots of different activities such as role play with costumes, junk modelling emergency transport, talking tables based around the police, fire service and hospital services and much much more! Seasonally, we will also be doing activities related to Autumn and the change in the weather to allow children to explore the different seasons. If you are out and about on the weekends or after your session at nursery, please collect some leaves, twigs conkers or anything you think is to do with Autumn and bring them in to share. We will also be looking at the celebration of Bonfire night and how to stay safe around fireworks - if you are seeing any over the 1st weekend of November , enjoy and stay safe. We will be making poppies for Remembrance day and celebrating Diwali on Friday the 13th of this month. It will be a very busy November for us all! Reminders: Clothing and the weather: Please bring hats and gloves! Clothing and bags: Please make sure that your clothing has labels inside with your child’s name or initials. We cannot be expected to remember everyone’s clothing and it will be the case that children will end up with some of the same items as another child. To help us and yourselves, please initial your children’s clothes and bags.

Please can you send some updated family photo’s through on our email address: info@harvardparkpreschool.co.uk so we are able to updated these on your child’s family albums.
