Notes from the management team: We would like to welcome all of our new children into our Harvard Park Family! We are excited to support you in your first steps with education and feel extremely proud you have chosen us. You can find this in your personal inbox, via the EyLog and ParentMail as well as on our Facebook Page. To all of our returning parents, if any of your contact details have changed such as your mobile number or home address, please update this with us. You can either text it over, give us a call or catch us at the gate. If you are having a day off from pre-school or are booking a holiday or will not be in for any other reason— please let us know. It is important for our daily numbers to know who will be attending and who will not be. If you are going abroad please be aware that we may require proof of a negative test when you are due to return and will require information about where you have travelled too. Please remember that you should take your holiday when we are closed as it will and can affect your funding. This is just a reminder that at no point should parents be parking in the carpark, follow the flow system set out by Smallberry Green School and where applicable, wear a mask to protect yourself and others.
We are looking for staff members to join our team:

Harvard Park Pre- School LTD.
Notes from your Pre-School Teachers: Jeanna, Eva, Sima, Roshelle, Cathy, Carmela and Tanya: Focus: All about me and sensory investigation We would like to welcome all of our new children into our setting, we are looking forward to getting to know you! We would like to say thank you to all the parents who brought us thank-you / goodbye gifts for last term, We really appreciate it! We would like to request all parents and carers to be active on the EyLog! If you don’t know how to post or share pictures/videos please let one of us know and we can show you how to do this. As you know the EyLog will be changing it’s format. This means in order for us to help your child in their development we will need your help too. We will be setting homework that you will need to complete and send through the evidence! All new topics and targets will be added onto your child’s observations. Please be aware that your child may come home messy with all the exploring they will be doing. Please send them in clothes you do not mind getting messy - we will not discourage a child to not play with a messy activity because of the clothes they are wearing. We do encourage the use of aprons however a child will never be forced to wear one if they are choosing not to. Our topic for this month is all about getting to know the children in Pre-School and all about them. While we are settling in the new children it is a good topic to find out about children’s likes and dislikes as well as if their interests have changed. We will be doing activities such as mirror drawing, lots of sensory and messy play, talking about our family albums during group times and lots of mark marking to practise our pre -writing skills. Reminders:
Bangles and Bracelets: Please do not send your child in jewellery such as necklaces, bangles or bracelets unless there is a religious reason for this. They pose a health and safety risk to the child and we are not responsible if they break, are damaged or lost while the child is at pre-school. If it is not a religious item - please do not send your child in with it. Thank You.
Please remember to label all children’s belongings especially if they are new! Children will have the same bags, coats, jumpers etc. Just a small set of initials on the label inside will be perfect. It will prevent things from going missing.
Family Pictures: Please send through your family pictures so we can get a head start on creating these for your child. Send them through on our WhatsApp account as this is a quick and easy way. It helps a child feel included in the setting as well as a good talking point and in some cases a comfort.
If you haven’t already registered for ParentMail or EyLog please do so - it is important that you have both of these accounts to see your child progress as well as receive important messages.
