Theme Week Homeschool for Early Childhood Education
Welcome: I am so glad you are here with me and excited to tackle theme weeks to boost your child's education! Here are what people are saying about Theme Week Homeschool! How to use this book: Passports: Each theme comes with a set of 2 passports. Print out as many multiples as you need on a thick cardstock so that each child has a passport for the week. In order to pass onto the next week, children need to earn 4 stickers, one for each activity day of the week. Feel free to use themed stickers, simple gold stars or even smiley faces drawn by you in the circles – whatever works best for YOU! If you choose to, cards can be laminated, hole punched and bound together on a lanyard or ring hook for kids to keep throughout the themed weeks. They could also be displayed under each child's name on a poster board. Be creative! The point is to help the children mark their progress and develop pride in the achievement of tasks. Calendars: Each theme comes with a printable calendar that is meant to be printed on thick cardstock. These day cards are for you to pick and choose which activities you will do on your four activity days. Laminate the cards and use them over and over again with a dry erase card or simply print off more each time a new theme rolls around. If you have a silhoeutte, I recommend this cut file for “days” cards. Tutorials: Tutorials are in depth looks at a few of the projects for each theme. These can be found online at anestforallseasons.com, but in your book, you will also receive educational goals and questions to ask your children in conjunction with the tutorials. Each is matched directly to homeschooling curriculum goals. Add Ons: Add-Ons are the activities that do nt come with full tutorials, but are meant to spark ideas for you and your children. Many of these are free, cheap and easy! Several of the themes include easyto-use worksheets for students. Print and complete! Links: Links are the beauty of an ebook! Whenever I mention a resource, you simply have to click the link and it will take you to that resource on the web without you having to search for it or remember long urls. Some links will be to educational sites and resrouces, while others will be for supplies needed for projects. Some links will take you to my blog, A Nest for All Seasons, for additional information, posts or tutorials. Some links for supplies are affiliate links and I receive a small percentage of your purchase price if you choose to buy from that retailer (typically amazon). All links are tested by me and NONE will be spam or just general advertising links. All are of worth to YOU! Links will be found in RED throughout the ebook. © Amy Renea 2013
