Each summer, Strathmore welcomes thousands of our neighbors for free outdoor concerts at the Gudelsky Gazebo stage. Dating back to the 1980s, the series has become a summer tradition for generations of families and friends who come together to soak in the sounds amid the cool evening breeze.

“At Strathmore, we’re dedicated to engaging the full diversity of our community. My approach to booking this free concert series is to hit as many genres as I can,” says Beth Radovsky, senior program event manager at Strathmore. “This summer, there are so many great artists to be excited about from the worlds of global music, folk and bluegrass, blues, funk, and more.”

Last year, Strathmore introduced a Live from the Lawn companion series on Thursday nights called Cool Concerts for Kids. “Our children’s concerts are going to be extra special this summer,” says Radovsky, “including Grammy-winners Falu and Dan and Claudia Zanes, our favorite Mexican songstress Sonia De Los Santos, and a dance party with Fyütch.” These upbeat, interactive performances invite kids to be front and center, and they are a fun way for the whole family to spend a summer night.

To round out the outdoor experience, Strathmore Culinary Arts is serving up a menu of summer BBQ favorites and ice cold drinks. Patrons can also purchase freshly cut fruit, cotton candy, popcorn, and more.

“Strathmore is here to ensure that every one of our neighbors gets to experience the thrill of live performance. Live from the Lawn is one of our favorite ways to deliver on that promise,” says Radovsky.

Live from the Lawn concerts are always family friendly and take place on Wednesdays at 7pm.
