I am 31-year-old audio-visual performer, filmmaker, photographer, new media artist and journalist, exploring and developing hybrid narrative and non-linear transmedia storytelling. I am a Director of Photography with experience in film production on both documentary and fictional films and as well as a Camera Operator. I worked as a program Editor at Brazil’s major Globo TV in the International Development Dept.. Currently I am working on the development of Web-based Performance Projects in the media arts. My artistic investigation focuses on performance-oriented and artistic experimentation in non-linear narrative approaches employing analogue supports and contemporary digital technologies to explore interactive relationships in multiple formats. My experience as a photographer includes detailed knowledge of traditional chemical procedures, experimental developing and enlarging, as well as scanning, digital treatment and printing techniques. I work with 16mm and super 8 and multiple still photography formats to the latest digital techniques in photography and video.
In February 2014 I was invited to attend the Culture Shift hackathon by the British Council in São Paulo in the context of the Transform UK / Brazil program. In March, I was invited by the New York-based Tribeca Film Institute (TFI) to take part in their Tribeca Hacks Story Matter, the first international hackathon promoted by TFI in partnership with CinéGlobe Festival at the CERN laboratory in Geneva (Switzerland). Both were focused on empowering storytelling engaging science and technology. At present, my transmedia project “Unfinished Business” is been shown at the International Electronic Language Festival in São Paulo. It was originally presented in May 2014 along with my photographic work in the group exhibition “Perspective(s)” at the Helena Fretta Art Gallery in Florianópolis, Brazil. During the same month I was invited to exhibit other new photographic work in the group exhibition “Interferências” at the Lindolf Bell Museum in Florianópolis. I have just been invited by the Seventh International Conference on Interactive Digital Storytelling to make a formal presentation of “Unfinished Business” in Singapore from November 3rd to 6th, 2014.
