Existing products They each address one or two problems but not all of the ones found in tea drinking

CONS

Doesn’t solve the string, or transportation problem and it is adding one more item to it.

PROS

Anchores the tea string to the cup simple and elegant.

CONS

Doesn’t solve the transportation issue, not adaptable you need to use only this cup.

Attaches the string to the cup and works as a tong to squeeze the last tea drops. Doesn’t solve the transportation issue, when squeezing the tea bag you do get water on your fingers.

Prevents string from falling in the hot water, no direct contact when squeezing the tea after brewing. Metal alterates the flavor of the tea, it can’t be used as a spoon, doesn’t solve transportation.

Attaches the string to the cup, no direct contact when squeezing the tea after brewing. Doesnt’ solve transportation and it’s big and bulky.

Attaches the string to the spoon

Attaches the string to the cup Looks fun and clever.

Spoon is not attached to the cup, makes transportation even harder, you need to squeeze the tea bag the traditional way.

Only works on when buying that brand, doesn’t target any transportation issue.

Safety & Transportation

First Several Months strong neck muscles help an infant hold up their head.

Laying infants flat on their back stretches the c-curved spine into a straight line, against their natural shape. Laying flat can stress the baby’s skull, decrease muscle tone, and be stressful on their hips and spine. Boy

Sylvia cares for her comfort and her baby’ safety when it comes to picking a stroller. She is a modern and working mom who spends most of her day in the car; so easy transportation is key, specially with her baby’s items.

William is a happy and outgoing baby that is very attached to his mom. His dad works, but spends a lot of time taking care of the kids. On week days it is mom who pushes William’s stroller, but on weekends when dad is there, he is the one in charge of little William. New spaces and experiences put William under stress, this is why his parents always put him in his stroller facing them and little William gains instant confidence. A safe baby, is a happy baby.

Designer’s Knowledge

Redesigning a playground in Chacao, Caracas, Venezuela. The project consisted in redesigning an existing playground to make a more interesting one. It had to have at least three different games or playground stations.

Passive observation

The social area at the existing site is bigger than the actual playground area. The fountain provides water for the whole playground, including the water fountains. Behind the fountain there is a back room where the filter, motors and pumps for the fountains and plaza are located. The ages of the kids who come and play frequently at the part are between 3 and 10 years old.

Current playground

Survey Analysis

100 people on site (64 kids and 36 adults)

The area is 24.84m long by 9.30m weight and it is currently supplied with two small wooden play stations. It is not close to been enough for the amount of kids that come on a daily base to the park.

Slide

Where the play stations are the floor is sand, when it rains it becomes a real issue because of the puddle formation (specially at the end of the slide and the swings)

See-Saw

Swings

Safety

The park has two good size trash cans, but they are located too close to the where the kids play. Finally there is not enough room between the wall and the wooden playground for the kids to play without hitting themselves against the walls.
