ITC TWENTE The ITC is a particular faculty, an internationally recognized knowledge hub in geo information with a major society goal : ITC leads international students to professionals who can contribute to solving great challenges. The ITC is currently housed on the edge of the center of Enschede. The users are satisfied with the building: it has a human size, good facilities and a warm atmosphere. But it is also somewhat introvert; from the outside you do not notice much of ITC's international reputation. What makes the ITC particularly special are the users: the different cultures that share the ambition to make the world better. The move offers the opportunity to create a better, more sustainable building while maintaining quality.

PRIX DE ROME There was a time when the East Groningen region , in the Netherlands, was under intense external pressure, and the resulting internal dynamic was equally tense. But that time has passed. The borders no longer need to be defended. For a region used to fighting external forces, the release of pressure has brought life to a standstill. Sure, feuds flare up every now and then, but they quickly subside when there turns out to be nothing to fight for or against. A spatial intervention will not save Oldambt. Redemption is a word that does not suit East Groningen. But intervening could serve to lighten the region's narrative and spark a new dynamic: not by creating a retreat for city dwellers and not by developing some kind of symbolic 'genius loci', but by introducing a foreign element that can be appropriated, whose final result is yet to be determined.

BRDO II The planned neighborhood Brdo II represents the most extensive Slovenian housing project in the coming years. Housing lamellas between two axes are designed as one longer or two separate buildings. Most dwellings in the neighborhood have a two-way orientation, all the staircases are naturally illuminated, facing outwards. The corner installation of the living rooms allows the kitchen to be separated from the daily work and thus an additional room in the apartment. The design of objects with a uniform principle, which differs in detail in the facade cladding, expresses the uniqueness of the neighborhood on a larger scale and the individuality of individual buildings on a smaller scale.

SCHOOL IN GHANA Abetenim Arts Village is located in the Southern region of Ghana. The architecture of this area is characterized by the courtyard house, a building type that became a base for all the different types of buildings in the whole area, even for modern architecture. What makes this type so special is the ventilation technique, which is very simple and also the importance of the courtyard, which serves as an intimate space, adapted to all the activities. The program that we decided to work on (from all the programs offered by the competition brief), is the cafeteria. the functionality of this program is complex, the main hall having the ability to serve as a multifunctional space for different activities such as dining, school plays, workshops of even special events.s of the project is the courtyard space, which defines the ensemble and gives it a special ambiance, while the nature breaths through.

ROG The evolution of technology caused a series of industrial spaces to become abandoned and without use. Instead of an ample rehabilitation process, meant to preserve the architectural heritage, most of the industrial sites are easily demolished and the area is rebuilt from scratch. This, however is not the best solution since it presumes disregarding any historic value of said industrial buildings, it is often considerably more expensive and it completly excludes the less fortunate people. by renewing an old industrial space, certain areas of the city can be brought back to life and it can bring a more sustainable approach to the permanently growing cities. The former bike factory Rog, from Ljubljana, Slovenia, presents this type of potential, mostly because of its location (in the very center of the city), but also because of its users who have build a community which helps the whole city.
