The site has been subdivided first with the apartment buildings distributed to the main corners of the plot. The individual houses are placed almost at the center of the plot with ample amount of recreational spaces in the direction of east to west. This subdivision ensures that the low rise buildings are ventilated well while the high rise buildings offer shade to the plots on the inside when the sun is high.

BANK

HEALTH CARE CENTER

GRAM PANCHAYAT OFFICE LIBRARY

Objective: Design these public facilities for 5 villages including Tara. 1. Gram Panchayat 2. Public Library 3. Bank 4. Multipurpose Hall 5. Health Care Center After a small survey we conducted in the village, we observed that the people residing in the village were a tight knit community, with houses sharing common walls. Many residences were of vernacular architecture, except for a handful ones that were framed rcc structures. Complaints of medical care and bank facilities were made by a majority of families. A school designed and constructed with vernacular materials is located right at the top of the village near a temple.

GRAM PANCHAYAT OFFICE

The kids around there did not require public transport to go to school. But they did mention about wanting a Public Library for themselves since their school did not have one.

A multipurpose hall was also a requirement since the village didn’t have a proper one nearby.
