The site had many natural features- which had to be used to their maximum potential.The most prominent features were the contours and the lake itself.
The idea was to make sensory and memorable experiences outside the homes, that would make the person spend more time with nature.
The architectural component which was the homestay itself, was designed to make it more open to the nature.
The butter y roof let in more light and one could see the outside world, not just through windows but also the roof.
To keep the person engaged with nature, the site includes nature trail, bridge, bamboo pergola, amphitheatre, a viewing deck and a deck by the pond.
Sem 7 Urban Design consisted of mapping the six dimensions of Urban DesignMorphological,Visual, Functional, Perceptual, Social and Temporal Dimension. The site chosen was Saat Rasta, Mahalaxmi.
