BODY&MIND The project looks forward into designing an object that alleviates or even cures the illnesses of the body and mind, such as stress. BODY&MIND-clothes, is a product proposed for stimulating the body and alleviating the pains with the use of acupuncture and acupressure s system of balancing the body. An diagram analysis of the acupoints was done in order to colocate the protuberances inside a fitted suit. The material and the movement of the body creates pressure in the specific indicated places in order to cure the body and mind.

BODY&MIND
Materials The design of the outside its concentrated in the projection of the meridian lines and the principal points. The material is an organic cotton made with Taslan fibres. This sort of material is comfortable, thin and soft to the body, because of its freedom of movement.
BODY&MIND_clothes. Product for stimulating body and alleviating pains and other types of body and mind problems based on acupuncture and acupressure points.

The material used for the inner part of the undergarment gives a particular texture, with a combination of protuberances. The textures include the exact point of acupressure and a minimal texture to create a balance to the body. This material is “slow rebound microcellular urethane�, is a foam that offers a perfect fit, comfort and also is capable of moisture control.

Nucleus “Nucleus” purpose is to place the water in the heart of the household through a transition from the everyday “dry” environment to the core of the water room, the climax of cleanliness that amplifies our water senses.
The core is a column inspired by the roman impluvium / compluvium that is composed by water elements; specifically a shower, a sink and two water walls. The free standing water column offers its surroundings humidity and relaxation through the sound of the constant water flow.

How it works? From the core, a translucent silicone coated elastic fabric supported by two rails, one on the ceiling and one on the floor, is pulled out in order to create the path from public to private. The floor of the structure is made of a waterproof, soft material that can be foldable and easily transported.

Nucleus steps
Having as a starting point the public environment, the first step into the water room would be the sink, which is a scar on the “water wall�. The wall is composed of a curved frosted glass behind which there is a waterfall. Continuing on the path to the private water core, soft elements on the exterior shell facilitate the removal of the clothes by offering various ways to collocate them. Reaching the threshold of the column, passing through a vertical waterfall marks the completion of the journey.

Casper collection is a solution to create upholstery furniture by exploring the possibilities of separating the “software” from the “hardware”. For this is important to consider the life-cycle of a product. We choose not only to use passive sustainable methods such as ecofriendly material and environmental manufacturing process, but to create an active interaction between the furniture and the user to provoke a sustainable outcome.

The designs consist of one collection that includes armchairs and sofas, both using a simple metal tubular skeleton that acts as the standard ”hardware”, structural base.

The “software” are the covers that are added on the structure, this gives form and function to the furniture. The “software” is made of fabric with cushions included inside to give comfortable softness and shape to the various designs.

The second design is a “love seat” cover, that creates an environment for a couple in a sofa, it provides a integrated blanket together with a comfortable rocking motion.
The third design is a “Playground” cover, a family oriented piece, specially made for families with kids, this has a special carpet for playing and a ladder for children to climb around.

her DreamCatc Armchair The idea for this furniture is to design a resistant and comfortable weaving that would occupy the interior space of an old wagon wheel. It s composed by: A construction bended rod and welded (to create the structural base), an antique 52� wagon wheel (recycled material) and 700 feet of climbing rope. The end design was caused by a spontaneous process of weaving rope where the only rule was to use the same anchor knot, which keeps the tension and binds the wheel. The weaving is constructed with a pocket in the sitting section.
The name of the chair, DreamCatcher was granted after the use it was given in the architecture workshops. Sleepy students would sit and rest during the night. Some said that the DreamCatcher would trap bad thoughts and let you retain the positive so you could feel stronger for the presentations.

MANIFESTO The project “MANIFESTO” dedicated its analysis in how society is changing. We specifically researched in “social responsible design”, to make the movements participate in what is open design. We concentrated on movements like “Los indignados”. Investigating and analyzing there behaviour in the public spaces we concluded that they need to express them self, give signs of peace and protect themselves in case of violence.
Formations First line of the formation, MESSAGE The shield, Manifesto not only protects, its principal intention is to give the opportunity to the user to express a common message. But a simple message can provoke the “opponent”. For this we design formation lines giving different scaled solutions for “attacks”. As mentioned the first line to appear is the message, if the message does not pass through the second line of the formation appears. The second line of the formation is a complete line of flowers. The intention of the second line of the formation is to portray beauty and peace but if the opponent wants to keep fighting with beauty a third line appears. The third line of the formation is a translucent film. Would the police keep fighting themselves?

Ana Rebecca Campos Rivera Project detail description They can also be combined with each other in order to crate shelters for camping in a urban environment. The shape is a slightly curved multilayered cardboard structure that bears dovetail-like joints in order to connect the modules through sliding, thus creating a shelter. It contains a folded soft mat that can be used for sleeping but at the same time protects the arm of the user while holding it and while receiving hits. The frontal surface is covered with a plastic film on which is printed or added the various options of the formation lines.

Concept/Audience On a study presented by Jan Chipchase, On our mobile phones, he asked people around the world; “What do you carry?”. This is; keys, money and mobile phones. The mobile technology is today a basic need in our daily life s. How do people with illiterate problems manage contact information in this deices? If we want to design for the future we need to embrace everybody in the planet including illiterate.

Ana Rebecca Campos Rivera Receiving Education Thinking of children and their needs; eating, learning and playing. A design for individual packages of cereal boxes aimed for kids was done. Also a set of objets that will use the same handle and depending on the use they change the top.
First they use the spoon to eat the corn flake. Once finished on the bottom of the bowl they can find a Qrcode that provides them a lesson to learn basic knowledge (numbers, letters and etc.).
To read the code the kids will add the telescope reader that will give them the opportunity of hearing what is inside. The code will provide the hearing and the back of the pealed cover the written lesson.
After studying the kids deserves to play giving him a wand to add.

The actual product is simple so that each smoker can customize it. The object is a box(Recyclable plasticbox with Aluminum) that has an elastic attached allowing the user to insert a cigaret box in it with a small gesture. In the elastic band the users can also attach a lighter, the city Guide for Smokers, etc. The customization makes the 1+ASHTRAY personal. It s like owning a unique personalized ashtray device that can help smokers handle all their smoking paraphernalia.
