Web2class Meeting in Thessaloniki The students write down their experiences

In the workshop • What we heard • •

What we learnt What we realized

The students told us about the environment • I understood the meaning of “sustainable development” • I was given a chance to see the environment from another point of view and value it. • They helped me how important is the environment for my life. • I found out about the natural past and present of our planet. • I understood that the environment is in serious danger.

They told us about the possible solutions: • I realized the daily misuse and mistakes we do at the management of the energy and the water. • I thought of ways of saving energy. • I heard what other schools did in order to save water and energy. • I learnt alternative ways that are applied in other countries. • Some students from other Europeans countries knew more about the issue. • Now I know more and better ways of saving energy.

They told us their conclusions • I must change my habits in order to save the environment. • It’s a necessity to consider the environment friendly and not to pollute it with other actions. • Unless we take action the consequences will be tragic and more imminent than I thought. • Continuous effort from all of us and the planet will be fully changed.

The days of hospitality • What we exchanged • What we learnt • What we felt

They told us about the foreign students they hosted • We teamed up in the workshop, we exchanged opinions, we discover solutions. • I discuss about the educational system of their country, their entertainment, their hobbies and their preferences. • I discovered that we are at the same educational level. • I was told that in my guest’s country they are more careful about litter and smoking. • We exchanged ideas, habits, traditions, ever food recipe.

…and yet • The foreign students were interesting in listening to everything about Greek history. • They took part in everything we proposed with the willingness to discover Greece. • I used my English on a daily base. • My curiousness to travel to my guest’s country was enhanced. • It’s nice to exchange ideas and beliefs with people of another culture.

In the end, • We had fun, we share common experiences

and we even forgot the existence of different

language !

Till we meet again!
