I.
Misfit’s Song
walking the streets just because it is night from one sound
to another, engaging in life if I
CLAP
my hands in a
DARK room
maybe I’ll
AWAKE the moon
left with the buzzards share of
DAYDREAMS CIRCLING CIRCLING a green ocean
FISHED
OUT FROM
THE START please forgive me if i don’t play the part I’m suppose to be.
II.
Trying
Trying to hold on to moments judging as to whether they let you as a photograph but they only what’s past:
artifacts, little pieces of fabric
STOP
gaps, little songs meledoies of
memories darkening convinced entries to halls darkening
till you are alone
there are keys
III.
Prelude Interlude
if I curl myself into a
ball
maybe my only loss will be financial
are the passionate just addicted tosomething?
I touch the well and it gurgles as I do
THEN THE WATERS STILL
a master with one wing
STILL FULLY FLIES
IV.
Strands of Your Hair
so much of it.
as if we lived for
years together bird silhouettes
against the blue and cloudy atmosphere
one long
strand of
yours
weaving among a small flock of mine in a sky so quiet now that you are gone.
V.
Untitled
is but a freeze (I am just kidding) the world
a hot substantial
dogs bark in the athenaeum’s hall
whistl
in’ dixie
trees bow boughs, limbs like fishin’ poles into the wooshing
