MOTIVATION LETTER
I’ve never been so wrong than the moment I thought studying is the one duty of a medical student. My world before was so small, but CIMSA changed that. It gave me a glimpse of a bigger world. My name is Yasmeen, a third-year medical student from Universitas Gadjah Mada, and I am thrilled to share my candidature plan for Liaison Officer to United Nations Agencies CIMSA Indonesia 2020-2021. I’ve been extremely lucky for the past two years to have had experiences in CIMSA. Every bit of my CIMSA work has made me realize how far it has helped me to become a better person. I met such diverse friends and they have inspired me to be the person I currently am. It’s all thanks to CIMSA that I am able to see the world from a different perspective. Being a part of our organization showed me the true strength of our voice as youth. We as medical students are responsible for raising awareness and improving our nation beyond clinical practice. Through active participation, young people can play an important part in shaping the world. Becoming the Vice National Public Health Officer for External Affairs has taught me that there are far more substantial things we can achieve by working together with partners of the same goal. I was proud to share externally the work that CIMSA members do at the local, national, and international level. Hence, I dream to be of use for CIMSA by applying the knowledge I have as a Liaison Officer and creating partnerships with United Nations Agencies. There are so many things the United Nations Agencies can offer and I plan to engage them to the fullest for CIMSA. It would be an honor for me to be part of CIMSA’s National Officials. I can assure anyone reading this that I am dedicated and willing to give my all in ensuring perfect execution of my tasks and the utilization of all my knowledge, experience, and proficiencies towards fulfilling my position and prospering our organization. My professionalism, efficiency, and communication skills will become my strength in becoming the Liaison Officer to United Nations Agencies CIMSA Indonesia 2020-2021. I hope to be the person who can help fulfill CIMSA's dream of empowering medical students, improving the nation's health.
Yours sincerely,
Yasmeen
