Beautiful Pascha: An Orthodox Coloring Book for Children

PHILOKALIA: A word often heard in the Orthodox Christian Faith. It’s a Greek term that means “love of the beautiful.” The Orthodox Christian experience is infused with beauty. God calls to us through the presence of beautiful things—from the triumph of the Resurrection icon to the joy of flying kites on Bright Monday! Beautiful Pascha was created for children aged 5–12 to help them cultivate a sense of beauty while learning more about our yearly Lenten journey from Zacchaeus Sunday through Great Lent to Pascha and Bright Week. As the children color, they will recognize some of the meaningful symbols, elements, and motifs of the Church. We pray that young hearts and minds will be inspired while working through this book, and that it is an aid toward furthering Christ’s Kingdom here on earth.
