Indie Author Day is an annual event for libraries and organizations around the world to highlight local authors, writers, and communities for a day of education, networking, and resource sharing. This year, the Anderson County Library is spotlighting local authors with a brief synopsis and purchasing information for their newest books, along with the Library’s writing resources. Content will be posted on the Library’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts throughout the day on November 7 as well as online at www.andersonlibrary.org/indie-author-day.
Emily B. Martin, a Pendleton native and featured author, has donated 3 copies of her newest book Sunshield for a giveaway. To enter the giveaway, like and comment on at least three posts from the Library’s Indie Author Day posts on Facebook or Instagram by Sunday, November 8.
In addition to featuring local authors virtually, the Library is debuting a new Local Author collection on the main floor at the Anderson Main Library. This collection will highlight past and newly published literary voices and talents from the region. Browse a range of genres and topics, both fiction and non-fiction. All books are available to check out.
