Located in the Upstate region of South Carolina, the city of Anderson has been recognized as the “Friendliest City in South Carolina.” Anderson is a regional destination city for shopping and dining, as well as outdoor sports at nearby Lake Hartwell and the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Located less than 30 minutes from downtown Greenville and two hours from Atlanta and Charlotte, Anderson students have easy access to vibrant professional, cultural and recreational opportunities, and are within driving distance of South Carolina’s beaches.

Preview Event The South Carolina School of the Arts features three state-of-the-art performance venues, a music technology laboratory, multiple graphic design studios, two art galleries, prestigious professional accreditation and distinguished faculty.
You will have the opportunity to tour campus, spend the night in a residence hall, take part in campus worship, eat in the dining hall, and much more. Parents have a special session with the President and other campus leaders where they will learn about the vision and future of the school while enjoying a great meal and connecting with other parents. You will also have an opportunity to meet with our Financial Aid experts.
A South Carolina School of the Arts preview event allows you to experience an AU overview, campus tour, meet students and professors, and complete a scholarship audition or portfolio review with a professor. Choose from one of the dates listed to the right. All applicants to the Music and Theatre departments are required to complete an audition in order to be considered for admission to those programs. Auditions and portfolio reviews are also required for South Carolina School of the Arts scholarship consideration.

Personal Visit A personal visit gives you a small group introduction to Anderson University. You will experience an AU overview with an Admission representative, followed by a campus tour with a Presidential Ambassador Student Tour Guide. At the conclusion of your visit you will meet with an Admission Counselor to discuss the application process and financial aid and learn why AU was chosen as one of America’s 100 Best College Buys.* You may also choose to eat in our dining hall, meet with faculty and coaches, attend class or attend a performing arts rehearsal or performance.
