DR.-ING. ANDRY WIDYOWIJATNOKO ST,MT Lecturer at ITB & Supervisor for my Bamboo Projects
I have known Andita since becoming a mentor at the Construction and Building Materials Studio 1. She and her group got bamboo construction assignments and completed the assignments very well. Although simple, the bamboo building she designed applies the strong bamboo tectonic concept. Therefore, the results of this studio were then proposed to be submitted in the PKM Competition and successfully financed by the ministry to become one of the mainstays of the 2017 ITB PKM. Knowledge of the bamboo was sharpened when joining AAVS2018, a collaboration between ITB and AA School London's Bamboo Lab. The group's work
Andita in my eyes is a pleasant person, a student who is always positive-minded, hard-working and has a great interest in learning. English communication and speaking skills in my opinion are also above average. I am sure that if she works in a team, she will be able to work well together and be able to make a significant contribution.

FAUZAN ALFI AGIRACHMAN, M.T. Lecturer at ITB & Supervisor for my Architectural Design Studio (AR 3290)
Andita is one of my students in Architectural Design Studio during her third year. When I was her supervisor, Andita showed enthusiasm learning new things on architectural designs. Not only that, Andita also has the ability to think critically on various problems encountered even to very detailed matters. I am sure Andita has tremendous potential as a professional architect and learner.

PKM
About the Project COMMUNITY CENTER AT DESA PASANGGRAHAN, INDONESIA PKM (Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa) is a competition for college students, held by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Education of the Republic of Indonesia. There are 5 category for the competition. My team consists of 4 undergraduate architecture students from ITB, chose the "Community Service" category called PKM-M.
My team picked and visited the bamboo-producing and tourism village, the Pasanggrahan Village to identify / find out OUR
The village is a bambooproducing village but they lack of knowledge about bamboo especially for building materials & construction.
The village is
categorized
as "Tourism Village" but they didn't have an icon to attract tourist attention.
OUR SOLUTIONS
MAIN PROBLEMS
the main problems. We held a bamboo construction workshop for the village people and we use modern technology for making the bamboo joints.
We made a "Community Center" design for the village so the building can be their main icon and tourist main attraction.

“SO WHY BAMBOO? BAMBOO IS THE FUTURE. IT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, VERSATILE, TALLEST AND STRONGEST MATERIAL THAT WE COULD POSSIBLY CHOOSE. THE RAINFOREST IS ALMOST GONE, PLYWOOD IS MOSTLY MADE FROM THE RAINFOREST AND CEMENT HAS A CARBON LOAD THAT IS NOT GOING TO HELP THE FUTURE. THAT LEAVES BAMBOO AND IF CHILDREN PLANT BAMBOO TODAY IN EIGHT YEARS THEY WILL HAVE TIMBER READY TO GO AND THEY WILL GET TIMBER EVERY YEAR FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIFE TO BUILD ANYTHING THEY NEED.” -JOHN HARDY, GREEN SCHOOL COFOUNDER

About the Project BAMBOO 25 SQM CORE HOUSE FOR LOMBOK The challenge is to design a core house made from bamboo materials for Lombok Island, Indonesia. The project starts from identifying the problems and then the design process can start. Me & my team made several alternatives for the design and also did bamboo construction workshop, making a full core house structure from one of the team designs.

BAMBOO FOR LOMBOK & PALU BY ARCHITECTURE ITB
About the Project HUNTARA (TEMPORARY SHELTER) FOR LOMBOK & PALU POST-DISASTER It's been a very difficult and tough year for Indonesia when the earthquake and tsunami occurred in Lombok and Palu. A lot of houses were damaged during the disaster and many people died because the ruins of the building. Post-disaster, many people didn't have a house so they need a temporary shelter to continue their daily activities.
Mr. Andry decided to form a team to help the people in Lombok and Palu by making temporary shelters for them. That is when the Bamboo for Lombok & Palu project started. We designed several shelter design using bamboo material and we also considered the earthquake-resistant structures for the shelters. The program was fully funded by LPPM ITB.
HUNTARA BAMBOO A Huntara is a temporary house/shelter for the people who lost their home after the disaster. 1 Huntara is for 1 family ( 2 adults and approximately 2 children ).

I N S P I R A T I O N A L
TO WORK WITH BAMBOO IS VERY DIFFERENT TO OTHER NATURAL MATERIALS, BECAUSE IT ASKS FOR MODULAR THINKING. THE DIAMETER OF THE CULMS IS LIMITED, THEREFORE THE FOCUS LIES MUCH MORE ON THE JOINTS AND HOW TO ADD THE SAME ELEMENT TO CREATE ONE COHERENT SYSTEM - VERY MUCH LIKE A BIRD’S NEST. ONE ELEMENT GETS COPIED AND IS USED FOR THE STRUCTURE, THE FLOOR, THE WALL AND THE COVER. THE STRUCTURE STAYS VISIBLE AND OFFERS A VERY HONEST INTERACTION BETWEEN THE COMPLEXITY OF THE BUILDING AND THE PEOPLE USING IT. THEREFORE WORKING WITH BAMBOO HAS A VERY PERSONAL SCALE TO IT. IT ALSO HAS GIVEN US A CERTAIN FREEDOM AND RELIEF TO NOT HAVE TO THINK ABOUT THE CLADDING OR THE WALL COLOUR, BECAUSE BAMBOO HAS A CLEAR VISIBLE STATEMENT AND MAKES YOU FOCUS ON THE ESSENTIAL. - CHRIST PRECHT -

About the Work We have to design an urban gallery, workshop and community center building in the middle of Bandung City. The challenge was how to make your building fits in the environment since the sites were located near historical buildings and marketplace, etc.

MAIN CONCEPT
"BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE"
The building is located near a "dying" old electronic market. I want to help the market by making an "electronic gallery" that will display only electronic things such as robots, etc. I also wanted to encourage people to buy the things from the nearby electronic market. They will need the materials and electronic components for doing workshop at the gallery.
OTHER CONCEPTS I didn't provide many parking lot for cars because I want the people to use public transportation. That is also the reason behind why I put a bus stop

About the Work We have to design an agricultural high school in Bandung District. The challenge for this assignment was to design the school on a contoured-site. The school
MAIN CONCEPT "SITE (SIGHT) - SEEING"
design is quite simple but the organization of the class, teacher lounge, and other rooms must be according to the rules. Another challenge was how to arrange the massing on the site and the main attraction here was the agricultural field for the students.
"Site (sight) - seeing" : I made this concept based on how I arrange the site. The school (main building) was located on the rear of the site. When you want to reach the main building / school, you will have to follow the main road that surrounds the whole site so you can see all of the other buildings and experience the view of the agricultural field.
