PARKS & RECREATION

Andover is home to two large parks, three mini parks, and one neighborhood park. Andover Central Park is currently the biggest park and is home to the Capitol Federal Amphitheater®. This park features a disc golf course, a dog park, a playground, and even a fully stocked lake, Lake George. Nearby, the Andover Public Library sits directly next door to City Hall, ensuring everything residents need is centrally located.

The 13th Street Sports Park hosts many of the youth and young adult sporting events and sports teams. There are many multi-purpose fields outdoors, a sand volleyball pit, basketball courts, and access to the Redbud Trail. However, the 13th Street Park will be undergoing renovations 2023 - 2024, so most of the park will be inactive during this time.

Through the City, there are three mini parks located in some neighborhoods with small playgrounds for children. At Cornerstone Addition, there is a bigger park for public enjoyment as well.

Through Andover, with multiple points of access, the Redbud Trail can be used by anyone in the Andover-Wichita area. It is 11 miles, starting in Andover and stretching to Wichita, with plans to push the trail into Augusta in the upcoming years.
