THE LAST WORD
WITH KEVIN PIPKIN PROGRAMME EDITOR
Have you recovered from last Saturday’s game yet?

If you were at the game last weekend then spare a thought for myself, who was too ill to come to watch.
There are not too many matches I have missed over the past few seasons, and I was gutted to miss an Andover derby.
It was equably as hard as there were no Twitter updates covering the match as I searched for any sign of a scoreline from both Street and also Andover Town
Then at 3.45pm the tweet finally arrives and its not good news. Surely it’s got to be a mistake? But no – confirmation arrives via a text message shortly later 3-0 down! If I had a cat then I would have sent it skywards towards Foxcotte Park!
I’m resigned to the fact that we have thrown away a great chance of securing promotion, so close to the end of the season. Then at 4:53pm I see the tweet that I dared to dream of. Unbelievable stuff – 4-0 down and we turn it around to 54 with the last kick of the game!
At least I got to watch the re-run of the game through the VEO later on in the week, but it still wouldn’t have beaten being there on the day.
Another classic memory between the two sides; let’s make some more memories in the next few days and we hopefully can say goodbye to League One.
Keep the Faith
