THE MANAGER

Good evening and a very warm welcome to Foxcotte Park to all our supporters for tonight’s game against our visitor’s Petersfield Town.

I’d like to welcome the Petersfield management team, their staff, players and all officials and supporters who have made the journey to Andover this evening.

The Rams are on an incredible run at the moment, having gone 16 games unbeaten, reaching the semi-finals of the League Cup and having inflicting defeats to Newport IOW on three occasions (away in the league and at home in both the Hampshire and Wessex League Cups).

Petersfield come arrive here tonight fresh on the back of an impressive 4-0 win at the Portway Stadium on Saturday and will no doubt be looking to continue their recent form this evening and enhance their promotion aspirations.

We come into the game having won last Tuesday at home to Downton and battled to a 0- 0 draw away on the Island

against East Cowes Vics

The Downton game was a very tough game, as always against the Robins. Chances were very few and far between for both sides, until Cooky latched onto a fine through ball by debutant Layton Tulk and Cooky finished well!

We managed to get the important second goal just after half-time and it was needed, as Downton showed how good a side they are by coming back into the game but we were able to claim the three points in the end.

We were able to bring in Layton Tulk last week from Bemerton Heath Harlequins, with Josh Moore going the other way. A big welcome to Layton, who has already showed his potential in the two games his has already played for us and I’d also like to thank Josh for all his efforts this season and wish him well at Bemmie.

We are in a strong position moving into the business end of the season, with a number of key matches coming up over the next few weeks, the whole squad will be needed if we are to maintain our levels of performance.

Enjoy the game.
