Urban Project In this project ‘Public Corridors’ we aimed to link, rejuvenate and develop the Besos River area with the Segrera, and further afield. To create this link, or ‘corridors’ we used the means of public access, green space, and Education. We projected with the development of the Segrera as well as the BR project that the area would become a place of heavy pedestrian moment. There is in turn a necessity to give these people a comfortable, proactive, and functional way to move. With the density of schools in the area the need for education and child services led both projects. In the Easterly side of the river a citadel of childcare, educational services and productive practices is proposed. To the west, linked by a new pedestrian bridge, a proposed New infantile and primary school using the Waldorf method is proposed. With the strong educational ties between these two sides as well as the greater area we project a hub of learning and play for the youth of the Santa Coloma area.

In the urban analysis, I recognized the facilities in the area of intervention, made maps in photoshop and identified the problem of the lack of connection between the schools through public spaces.

Public Corridors generate a connection axis between the public, green and institutional areas between Bon Pastor and Santa Coloma neighborhoods. The project Modular Education is a requalification of the existent kindergarten and primary school. Nowadays, presents four temporary containers for its future construction.
It is proposed a new architectural design based on modules that can help with the learning of the children. In such a way, the geometry of a petal flower creates the classrooms. It establishes a modular geometry where the building can expand or shrink depending on its needs. The building will be made of CLT and Glugam for better comfort for the children.

This project is located in El Ermitaño, Lima-Peru. The project aims to decide where we can intervene to improve the citizens’ lives that do not cost much and they can make themselves. The problem was the vast landscape and most of the neighborhood’s essential services. As a group, we devised a solution to renovate and expand the existing civic center to enhance their identity as a community and improve their festivities at the center. My part was to analyze all the urban situations, make the 3d graphic to understand the topography and help with the architectural designs.

TC The following work shows a study of the physical environment of São Paulo, to analyze how the city was implanted on its water courses, covered streams and upper streams that lie under the road system, inside pipes and galleries underground. Conducting a general research of the city geography, it was possible to understand the importance of the central “Mountain”, being the place where it originates the streams and the micro-basins. When analising a group of streams from the “Mountain”, the micro-basin of Sumaré was selected, for its physical and natural characteristics that are still present. Within the micro-basin, there is still the Sumaré Stream, located under the bike path as its main source, while the other streams may have been dried up.

Through analyses of the landscape of the city, the relief, and the urban context within the selected area, a network of open areas systems has been proposed, where green infrastructures will be implanted to help the absorption of rainwater. This network has five urban interventions using water as the main element and physical component for urban design. These projects are located at: Park Ana Gaya Soleira, Park Abelardo Rocas, Vanderlei Street, Park Ciriaco Grisanti and Park Miriam de Barros. The highlight of this project is to find a way to live with nature in a well urbanized place and, at the same time, maintain respect for the environment.

Photographic Project Formerly, the neighborhood of Liberdade was considered one of the main mobility centers of Sao Paulo city and it was used as the main route to Santos in the 16th century, known as the “old road”. Along the years, the neighborhood had better development in economy and commodity exchanges with Santo Amaro, coming to have a great density in commercial buildings and use of public transport. So, based on the urban growth near the neighborhood of Liberdade, new connection axes were defined such as Conselheiro Furtado Street, Liberdade Avenue, Tamandaré Street, among others. The axis of study is Conselheiro Furtado Street, it is considered an arterial highway of the city that connects with the center of Sao Paulo.

Architectural Project The project is set in a corner at the side of the Glória-Lavapés Street with Tamandaré Street, having an area of 890.4 m2. Gloria Street is a historical route for black cultural festivities and others, being the basis for samba rehearsals long time ago. For this reason, the main project was to design a dance school to continue with the artistic activities alongside commerce and coworking areas to increase the movement of people. The building is formed by four blocks, the largest is the coworking space with 2 floors, in the middle there are two small buildings with a shop and a coffee store with one floor. And the last building is on the corner, a dance study with 2 floors.

The chosen block was designed according to its use and how it can give a good view on the corner to be attractive for the pedestrians. The building has a shared structure, and all spaces have a collective internal patio use by all people. This internal patio is important because of the permeability of the ground, lighting, and natural ventilation as well as the future ambience that it will have. This building is part of a set of needs for the neighborhood, being a group of buildings alongside an exhibition center and a daycare in front.

Proposed Zoning
Urban Project The district of Pari is located on the city of Sao Paulo and is part of the Mooca region, between the “Tamanduateí” and “Tietê” rivers. It is characterized by being one of the oldest neighborhoods of the city, originated in the sixteenth century when it was a fishing district. After the rectification of the rivers, it became an industrial neighborhood with large estates. One of them covers the Canindé Club, currently in alluvial plain (floodplain). Over time Parí became a commercial neighborhood, having two areas, one very consolidated (Zone B) and the other one almost without use. In zone B (Map 3) it presents low flow of vehicles and pedestrians, with a high urban potential. MAP 3: Actual Density

Due to this free area with little use, the project’s main objective is the densification of the region through commerce, services, and housing to reverse the current scenario, consequently having great potential and available area for big São Paulo. The diversified mixed-use surrounds the grand avenues and the structural axes that will bring a greater density and movement to the Neighborhood. The existing residential (Zone C) area was maintained because of being a very consolidated area.

The architectural project is inside the Urban Project of Pari, in front of Araguaia Street, where it is currently a large parking lot, in front of the football field of “Estrela do Pari”. Due to its great potential for connection to the city and a large area, new public equipment and residential areas have been designed through several programs. The target audience for the area would be immigrants, students, and homeless people, due to the high amount found at the site. Therefore, in an area of 16,500 m2, was projected three blocks of housing for each mentioned group, a support center with classrooms, a community kitchen, and open areas.

The objective of the project is to create a Support Center for immigrants, a cozy, cultural, educational, and service building so that foreign people can adapt to Brazil. Even to the high immigration in the Neighborhood, it is not limited to them. The uses of the project is designed for the integration with local people too, who also want to learn to promote tolerance and multicultural work. It was placed three blocks connected with a low height, where the block 2 would be with an open ground only with columns so can let a pleasantly circulation by the center and by the complex. The structure is metallic for easier construction of the place, adding “brises” of orange color to give life to the place. In the middle of the roof there is a terrace use for psychological and cultural support activities.
