Experience Fields and Personal Goals
Since childhood I was fascinated by architecture. The possibility to design, to plan and to take part to the construction of an architectural work is always been one of my greatest desires and today is still a source of great determination. My first studies (carried out at the technical institute for professional surveyors) focused on construction methods, materials, rules, static laws, and they allowed me to learn the first fundamental notions of construction. Then, I was determined to reach a higher design level and I decided to improve and expand my knowledge. I studied the artistic and historical elements of architecture and I assimilated the most correct approach to design. I also deepened the study of various aspects connected to the architecture world, especially techniques, methods and building systems. Architecture and everything that is related to the construction world has always been my biggest passion and this is the reason for which I am determined and motivated to make these disciplines the job of my life.

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Graduation Thesis Academic year: 2010-2011
My graduation thesis is organized in two steps. The first step concerns the study of the urban centre and the margin area, with an analysis of the characteristics that have led to the development of the urban fabric and his structural elements. After that (second step) I moved on to the design phase, and I studied and defined a new possible territorial planning. The project is divided into two basic macro themes: the cultural park system and the redevelopment of the urban fabric. The cultural park is developed through the study of a system of paths that are able to connect and relate to each other all the services currently present, inserting new support structures, such as an information point, a bridge for the crossing of the river and a second system of pedestrian/cycle paths integrated in the agricultural fabric. The expansion of the urban fabric was made through the analysis and the study of the arboral cultivations currently present, integrating them in a residential solution, keeping the main characteristics of existing structures and putting the foundation for a future expansion of the urban center.

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Laboratory of design and architectural composition V Academic year: 2009-2010
During the y Ri_Ab_Lab Laboratory was redeveloped a partially disused small block near the coastal structures of Cagliari. Ri_Ab_Lab has allowed us to develop an experimental investigation applied to the project about the issues of construction and manufacturing. The project involves the demolition of several buildings currently in disuse in order to create a strong relationship of communication between the city and the project area through the construction of a large square. Another part of the project involves the construction of new residential and commercial buildings. The project area is also characterized by the presence of an old famous bottling water plant reconverted for temporary art exhibitions.

New Music for Villanova
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Laboratory of design and architectural composition IV Academic year: 2008-2009
The work carried out during the workshop “LAB_sociality” developed a small block adjacent to the historic district of Villanova and the new contemporary urban fabric in the city of Cagliari. “LAB_sociality” allowed the discussion about design problems inside the urban fabric and the development of a design strategy which can be included as an element of mediation and cohesion.
First, we tried to distribute the building volumes placing them in relation to the urban context and we created a proper balance between public, private and semipublic spaces. In a first project phase we wanted to complete the street frontage along the Via Tristani but this idea was abbandoned because of the little project “functionality”. The three important factors that influenced the design from the context point of view are: the historical connection of Villanova historic district, the modern buildings that made up the block termination and the isolated buildings close to the historic center.
Studying the opening of the buildings volumes we decided to try to follow several solutions inspired by famous architects including Steven Holl. His style was the more consistent than the historical context of Villanova.
We wanted to provide the commercial area spaces with large windows in order to characterize the target of these spaces and to assure a good lighting.

One of the difficulties encountered during the design was the 18 meters height difference within the project area and the consequent distribution on the elevation volumes. We wanted to avoid the use of encomplete open spaces through the creation of green spaces and paved system. In the underground portion of the lot was planned to build a parking on two different levels. The parking spaces are equipped with a dedicated direct access through residential fits.

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Competition of ideas Year: 2013 Team: Palmas Andrea, Cinus Stefano, Francesca Cocchiara, Erasmo Valeria, Fois Emanuele, Lampis Danila, Piras Valeria, Sirigu Claudio,
The theme of the competition involved the redevelopment of an area located in Casinalbo (MODENA) and occupied by buildings (which in the past were the sites of the former sausage factory “Maletti) and green/ agricultural areas. It is an important urban area that with its new features is able to define a new center for Casinalbo. The project area is part of a context represented by the adjacent historical fabric, the railway station, several historical buildings to protect, a Punic necropolis and a seasonal stream (the latter falling within green/agricultural areas).

VISION CONCEPT
International competition of ideas Year: 2013
Some aspects of architecture are based on the use of imagination as through which it is possible to predict possible future scenarios and understand how the architecture and its context can interface with each other. An ideal thought is often confined in the imagination, and in this case we talk about utopia. In ancient times it was discovery the importance of a close connection between architecture and utopia. Platone proposed the creation of an ideal city the whose construction had to take into consideration not only the various aspects of human activity like social relations and business affairs, but even the relationship with nature. During the neoclassical period Etienne-Louis Bullée adopted elementary volumes with a colossal scale in his imagination in order to create buildings with a high symbolic value. In the same way Claude-Nicolas Ledoux presented a “speaking architecture”, that means “symbolic architecture”, using pure forms such as pyramids, spheres and cubes. What would became of big cities If we develope a thought like this to imagine a new ideal scenario in which architecture and environment are able to coexist in an harmonious way? What would become of the immense busy streets and huge skyscrapers? What about the form of the “ ideal house”? How should it fit into the new fabric? If urban spaces were invaded and “colonized” again by vegetation and waterways, the man who for centuries did not bother to relate properly with the environment leading to extreme conditions the natural balance of the planet, find himself for the first time to live with nature in a brand new and changed world . In order to survive would be forced to adopt new economic systems and transportations, developing new livelihoods and moving into new housing types abandoning obsolete buildings and skyscrapers that gradually fall into the hands of nature which regains possession of what has been removed. The new housing types because of their great adaptability and functionality may be located in the most unusual and different city-sites, in the busy streets, on the roofs of skyscrapers, and more.
The new living cells will be aggregated within coverings of spherical shapes that contain the Loft. In this way we can enjoy as of fundamental factors such as air space and light. Each loft is designed as a living space in perfect harmony with the normal men habits. The spherical shape allows the use of many advantages such as an high degree high degree of heat dissipation, a perfect aerodynamic against winds and an high degree of thermic insulation improved also by the detachment in elevation respect to the ground surface. From the sustainability point of view the cell is indipendent and able to take perfectly advantage of natural factors such as the sun to produce energy, rainwater storage for water supply and passive ventilation and green plants for the production of pure air. Consequently it allows to obtain low management and maintenance costs and an easy rapid construction thanks to the prefabricated components of which it is composed.

COMMERCIAL FORMAT PROJECT
Competition of ideas Year: 2013 Team: Palmas Andrea, Cinus Stefano, Lampis Danila. .
PRODUCTS FOR SALE AREA
The nuragic architecture represented by Nuraghe, is the oldest known architectural form of Sardinia.
Its plant often follows a quadrilateral organization with four defensive towers placed at the vertices and bounded by defensive walls. At the center there was the central tower, the centerpiece of the entire nuragic complex . The geometry and the footprint of defensive towers are reinterpreted to modulate the position, size and shape of the furniture that will host the functions to include within the commercial format.

The goal of the competition was to create a commercial proximity format reproducible in different urban contexts (the old town, the city center and planned commercial aggregates), ranging in size between 30 and 60 square meters and specialized in typical Sardinian food. The project had to be able to return a contemporary, evocative and non-stereotypical image of Sardinia, highly recognizable over time and with a reminder of the typical elements of the island such as sun, wind, colors, ancient history and local identity. The project had to meet a maximum budget set at â‚Ź 800 / sq.m and the entire structure had to be built and dismantled as soon as possible. Moreover, the structure had to be studied in two complementary versions: a self standig version for the placement in a variety of urban spaces and a compact version to be used for exhibitions.

Europan 12_Mannheim
URBAN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
International competition for under 40 architects Year: 2013 Team: Palmas Andrea, Cinus Stefano, Lampis Danila.
The twelfth edition of Europan has been focused on the theme of the adaptable city. Adaptability is the quality of a space that can be easily modified in harmony with changes to which its use is subject or may be subjected. The selected project area required to focus on the concept of Networked Territories. We have studied a new territorial redevelopment plan able to change the entrance to the City by restoring and linking important and different areas with residential, productive and social destination. The project was developed from the B38 highway redevelopment transforming this huge shaft in a green line that has allowed the characterization of the new entrance to the city and the connection of various facing networks.
NETWORKS AND URBAN FRAGMENTS The axis of the entire project is represented by the B38 highway which is surrounded by various urban areas with different intended uses, some of which are the subject of reconversion as a former military areas.
URBAN DENSITY_CLUSTER The project area is distinguished by the presence of areas with different characteristics and urban densities. This presence and the relationship between different areas is important for the future planning.
BORDER The current entrance to the city is characterized by a strong presence of the road system that tracks limits of connection between different areas of the project.
NEW NATIONAL, REGIONAL AND LOCAL SCALE PROGRAM The project is developed with a stratigraphic planning at national, regional and local level. It can take advantage of the characteristics and qualities of the different areas making them strategically crucial.
ANCHOR POINTS The project identifies some anchor points of crucial importance for their environmental, social and infrastructure characteristics, that are able to weld and unify the entire urban fabric.
URBAN POTENTIAL The existing urban fabric is characterized by the presence of many historical buildings. Their characteristics and destinations of use are often very different from each other. The objective of the project is to adopt a reading key that can reinterpret the entire area making it functionally homogeneous.

PROJECT GOALS
The B38 corridor, urban green line
The project is based on the attempt made in the 60s to create a “economic pole for the city of Mannheim and to reactivate this potential adding scientific and research facilities in order to create an active system along the B38, gaining importance at a regional level. The intervention on the existing services in Volgestag, in Benjamin Franklin Village and in the military area and the possibility to add new services and facilities leaded to connect through axes and paths, partly based on existing routes that cross the B38 and to establish a link between the two residential areas, even horizontally. The great gate that the B38 creates is due to the fact that in order to reach the center of Mannheim is necessary to use the car. With the possibility to move with other transportation means

scale 1:250
Shared space
since from the Taylor Barracks, the car may have a minor importance and thus the reduction of the importance and strength of the B38. The entire cycle and pedestrian paths and the public transportation network should be improved and rooted in order to “downgrade” the transportation system of the car, reducing its current strength. This network paths must be developed in close relationship with the green areas, that will connect the different sectors extending to the trees of the forest. Inside the project area the presence of the natural system is very strong. The green system could be used and designed as an unifying element between the six sectors according to species and colors in order to identify the function of a certain area; furthermore the new infrastructural layout may be enhanced with the help of the landscape design .
B38
Within a foreseeable future the conversion of B38 will set up a new city entrance. The converted sites - Benjamin Franklin Village and Taylor Barracks - provide an opportunity to reconceive the development corridor: they will be gradually involved in the urban dynamics and they will be linked by a new public transport system, which will act as a possible catalyst for the development in these unlinked areas. While this makes the B38 corridor a more attractive development area – in term of National, Regional and Local scale – it also fuels a process of centralization in favor of the big, strong and well established central areas of the city.

THE NEW URBAN DIMENSION THE B38 CORRIDOR, URBAN GREEN LINE The major road entrance to the city represented by the B38 has been redesigned with the aim to change its appearance making a large boulevard allowing the integration along the side bands of social functions at the service of residents, workers and visitors. The project studies also possible pedestrian crossings and cycle paths in order to make the entire area suitable for pedestrians, cyclists and especially children, so that they can move totally safe. The design is based on the study of the road section on which the space currently allocated to roadways is appro-

ached by two lateral bands which for their size belittle the current function of the road in favor of a pedestrian and bicycle mobility. Thanks also to the opening towards the lateral areas of the new campus and Volgertang, the road is enriched with functions capable of activating the corridor from a urban point of view. THE LINKS OF THE PROJECT AREA The entire project area has been studied for a cycle-pedestrian mobility and developed through the insertion of new paths thus allowing a rapid mobility with maximum safety. The system of services for the citizens currently available

into the Volgerstang area has been linked with appropriate direct pedestrian and cycle paths, capable of enhancing especially the residential area of the Benjamin Franklin Village, which is currently lacking from the point of view of mobility infrastructures. EXPANSION AND ENHANCEMENT OF THE NEW KAFERTAL RAILWAY JUNCTION The residential area of Käfertal is a suburban area that has not been updated with the passing of the years from a functional point of view. For this reason it has been decided to enhance the railway making it a strategic point from which start not only the mobility network with public transport but also the entire park system and the area of economic and scientific system of the campus. It is thus given a new impulse to the entire area reactivating new social spaces (such as plazar green areas) that enhance the industrial fabric that currently exists. FUNCTIONS ESTABLISHED IN THE BENJAMIN FRANKLIN VILLAGE The whole area of conversion of Benjamin Franklin village adjacent to the B38 is an affordable scientific system able to give a new impetus not only to the project but to the entire city of Mannheim. It has been designed to accommodate inside a mix of scientific and research functions, together with economic and productive functions. The whole system is supported by a set of community services able to give autonomy to the area but also capable to be a strong attraction for visitors. The project idea is based on the flexibility that allows the area to expand without loosing its main function.

THE TAYLOR BARRACKS AREA Within the area of the former Taylor Barracks we included functions that attract flows not only from the city of Mannheim, but also from the rest of the country. The present buildings converted their intended pourpose to the recording industry, which has also characterized the theme of the entire area. Within it is provided a system of buildings for citizens services such as shops, rehearsal rooms and exhibition spaces. This is supported by a park close to major public transport connections. Competition of ideas Year: 2014 Team: Palmas Andrea, Piras Valeria, Cinus Stefano, Lampis Danila, Demurtas Simone, Erasmo Valeria.
The theme of the competition is the ideational preparation of proposals for the creation of a sustainable village. The project has three main levels of planning: a proposal for the planning of the entire sector, a detailed project proposal with architectural and plant design and the economic model proposal. The project is able to offer a high energy efficiency of buildings and low emissions, use of environmentally friendly and natural materials, recovery from a short chain in the area, use of renewable sources, modular housing.

The arrangement of the different parts of the building has been designed to allow the identification of an interior private space. The rotation of one block has allowed the creation of a filter urban space where different activities contribute to create a strong sense of neighborhood.
The combination of various houses types (tworoom, three-room and four-rooms) helps to increase the programmatic complexity of the intervention and it promotes the cohesion between various social sectors within the same plot.
Blocks enter in green areas which have been studied to ensure more privacy for houses and to separate the common area inside the lot to private open spaces.

During the excavations for the construction of the new subway line in Rome it was found a monument of historical importance belonging to the Roman period. It is an auditorium that in the past was used during the Imperator Adrian Dynasty located at the foot of Our Lady of Loreto church and a few steps far from the Peace Altar. The competition required the coverage of this monument through a completely transparent structure which was volumetrically less invasive because of its location and able to integrate a cognitive and cultural monument. In the vicinity of the monument there was also planned a way out of the new subway line. The goal of the project is to create a square with seating and cognitive paths which can serve as a main pole and guidance for tourists and pedestrians.
