Wooden module design Chosen for Market Hall design, Stuttgart University of Stuttgart, 2016

These three different modules were designed for the New Market Hall Project, but also intended to be used in other circumstances, such as temporary facilities, housing for the poor, pop-up shops, furnitures, etc. Their simplicity makes it possible por people to build the modules themselves at a low cost, and have the flexibility to assemble a house, for example, in a simple manner. There are three different modules: The first one is for the ceiling‘s construction. Four identical wooden parts put together create one module, which in turn, together with other identical modules, makes up the building‘s roof. Its form is ideal for resisting tension forces. The other two modules are the wall modules. One is the vertical module, the other, horizontal. When joined, together they can resist the pressure forces of their own weight, the roof and external forces such as snow. Each module consists of two identical wooden parts, stiffened through a double Polycarbonate pyramide.

Mercado de flores and Towers Legazpi Madrid, Spain Politecnico di Milano, 2017

The Mercado de Flores in the Legazpi neighborhood in Madrid is currently empty. The task for this project was to firstly: create a bridge that connects the Flowers Market with the other side of the city. The second part was to renovate and rethink the functions that the former market hall could have. And lastly, to plan a mixed-use tower to be located at the end of the site. I designed two towers that continued with the existent grid, and just extended it vertically. For the market I worked with furnitures to define space.

Urban Planning

All projects by ANDREA Project City and Landscape, Neckartor Stuttgart. Project City and Landscape, Bohnenviertel Stuttgart. Both in collaboration with Caroline Reich and RenĂŠ Dapperger.

University of Stuttgart

Project City and Landscape Neckartor Stuttgart, Germany University of Stuttgart, 2015 Project chosen for exhibition at the University of Stuttgart.

Final phase for the Urban planning project. Neckartor is an industrial district in Stuttgart which has a lot of potential that isn‘t currently exploited. This part of town is near the “Neckar” (one of Stuttgart’s biggest rivers) and the Mercedes-Benz Museum. This ploject seeks to take advantage of both the waterfront and the small forest in the south region of the area. Furthermore, we took into consideration all of the already existing buildings and streets -deciding which ones were worth keeping and which weren’t. A public green area builds an axis that connects the „Villa Berg“ Park with the neighbourhood, the industrial buildings and the „Gaskessel“, a technical monument that is part of Stuttgart‘s cultural heritage. The red buildings in the Masterplan inside the main Boulevard are Industrial buildings that we think would bring quality and an identity to the area.

textiles and body landscape Institute for Design IDG University of Stuttgart, 2015 Project chosen for exhibition at the University of Stuttgart.

Architectural landscape created through the analysis and abstraction of a knitted piece‘s structure and put on a body part sculpted with clay. The clay model is the negative piece. It is an abstraction of the thread‘s course. I chose to represent the different thread’s height levels as stairs. Then, I plastered the form to get the positive piece. For the „body landscape“, I chose my legs. Did a Plaster cast of them and then sculpted them on a bigger scale in clay. The two architectural pieces derivated from the textile‘s form, also clay sculptures, were integrated with the main sculpture as a part of the landscape.
