The goal of this project was to create a new and innovative furniture system used for wining and dining. When designing this project I wanted to make sure I chose material that was sustainable, recyclable, and multifunctional. The main material I chose was concrete. Concrete creates minimal waste because after is has served its purpose, the concrete can be crushed and recycled into aggregate for use in new concrete. Concrete is a durable long-lasting material that will not rust, rot, or burn.

This versatile dining table fits from 6 to 8 chairs. The user has the option of making the center of the table an ice cooler, pot for your plants, or storage. There’s a drain in the corner of the table to release excess water from the cooler. The dining table comes with a removabe aluminum container that fits in the center of the table so it can be cleaned regularly as well as a small cutting board that can be used for appetizers.

SELF SERVICE TERMINAL
Imagination at work
The goal of this project is to develop a self service terminal for the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to be put in place for the year 2020. This project predicts that by the year 2020 all agencies, both commercial and governmental will be technically prepared to retrieve information from smart devices, eliminating the need for paper and hard copies of identifying documents such as driver's licenses and auto registrations. This self service terminal provides an efficient, cost-effective, user friendly, easily accessible, yet secure method for updating information to your smart device. With the brand General Electric (GE), the product should meet the demands of the DMV with the aesthetic and form language of GE.

A. BED DESIGN For Alu Casa I chose one of Alu’s products called SLIDER. Slider consists of a set of parallel rails on which you can attach different layers of accessories. These rails let you slide in and out products directly on the rail letting the user make quick change of set ups in a few minutes without any tools.

UNI
For this project I drew inspiration from diatoms and I was influenced by the unique shapes and colors. The name Uni comes from unicellular. Uni is a furniture system that includes a rocking chair and a table system that consists of 3 small tables. While designing this system I considered packaging and material costs. I tried to keep the design simple but aesthetically pleasing. The rocking chair consists of three parts, two profile views of the legs and the main body that includes back rest and seat that is steamed bent into one piece. The chair is connected with dowels and mortis and tenon joints. For the packing the chair can be flat packed and transported easily.
