W I NSOR & N E W T ON I N K Ad campaign
OVERVIEW Winsor and Newton is leader in producing high quality artist’ materials. They have a trusted reputation for beautiful acrylics, oils, and inks. This series is an ad campaign to promote their line o f a r t i s t ’s i n k s . T h e p u r p o s e o f t h e s e a d s i s t o a t t r a c t a r t i s t i c a l l y i n c l i n e d p e o p l e b y b e i n g c o l o r f u l and intriguing. This print series should have an air of simplicity to them while still showcasing the i n k ’s v e r s a t i l i t y . T h i s c a m p a i g n w i l l m a k e i t l o o k e a s y a n d i n s p i r e p o t e n t i a l c u s t o m e r s t o c r e a t e works of their own with Winsor & Newton Inks.
SOLUTION Painted a hand drawn ink spill, utilizing negative space as well, to better illustrate that the ink itself is the source of creativity; the artist only needs to give it a push. The ads are clear and concise, showcasing the inks’ brilliance and capabilities as a tool. The images inspire potential artists to seek out Winsor & Newton supplies for their work.

SOLUTION Each of the final book pages were digitally painted, depicting whatever the opposing pages’ storyline was. There were a number of character test and expression sheets done for the author as well to better fuel her creative writing.

OVERVIEW The Flagler College Bistro is an eatery within the college campus that mainly faculty and student body have constant access to. There are a total of three restaurants housed inside: Starbucks, Boars head, and ChickFilA. The Bistro underwent a name change and was hastily redesigned. However the new branding was unfitting and poorly done. Being a student of the college and a graphic designer I could no longer stand such poor design, and took it upon myself to give it a new look.
SOLUTION The Bistro is constantly being visited by potential students, parents, and student athletes, many f r o m c o m p e t i n g s c h o o l s . F l a g l e r ’s s p o r t s t e a m s , t h e S a i n t s , a r e w e l l s u p p o r t e d a n d l o v e d i n t h e S t . A u g u s t i n e c o m m u n i t y. OVERVIEW A l c o h o l i s m c a n a ff e c t a n y a g e , b a c k g ro u n d , i n c o m e l e v e l , s o c i a l , o r e t h n i c g ro u p . Ve r y o f t e n it affects highly educated, and intelligent people. It is most likely that one or more persons in their family also suffers from alcoholism. The people targeted by this ad campaign are possibly just starting to realize they have a problem and don’t know much about the longterm affects it c a n h a v e o n t h e i r l i f e . T h e y f e e l a l i e n a t e d f r o m s o c i e t y, a r e p r i d e f u l p e o p l e , p o s s i b l y n o t h a v i n g reached rock bottom in their lives yet. They may not yet see their damaging amount of excessive drinking as a severe problem but they know something is wrong. In feeling alone they may resign themselves to this lifestyle and disease and start to lose hope. The purpose of these is to build awareness by reaching out with facts and images that confront the issues and address the longterm affects of alcohol without being too overbearing or driving them a w a y. T h e a d s s h o u l d a t t r a c t t h e m a n d d e l i v e r t h e m e s s a g e s i n a s t r o n g b u t w a r m t o n e , s o m e t h i n g t o s a y “ Yo u a r e n o t a l o n e . � I t n e e d s t o n o t a t t a c k t h e m w i t h s o m a n y f a c t s a n d f i g u r e s a s t o overwhelm them or drive them away thinking there is nothing they can do to change.
SOLUTION The ad campaign repeats one crucial message, Regain Control. It supports the idea that it is possible to overcome alcohol addiction, and that you do not need to feel helpless. The placement in social media, and websites like Pandora, can reach the younger end of the target audience, and appeal to those who are just starting to struggle with their drinking. While, the outdoors, or bus stop ads can reach out to those in the older age bracket.

OVERVIEW A combination of blistering rock and southern soul, Thomas Wynn and The Believers is a 5-piece f i e r y e n s e m b l e p l a y i n g t h e o r i g i n a l m u s i c c i r c u i t . I h a d t h e pleasure of meeting this wonderful band and its members personally and that interaction has stuck with me over the years. They have such a powerful sway and sound that screams Florida and southern memories. Their latest Album release, Brothers & Sisters, features some of there best work yet. It needed a fresh look to set them on a roll.
SOLUTION They have such strong band dynamics and place great value on family and music, they needed a brand e q u a l l y a s s t r o n g . T h e h a n d - d r a w n t y p o g r a p h y c r e a t e s t h e b o l d s t r e n g t h n e c e s s a r y, b u t m a i n t a i n s t h e comforting smooth of home. The simple color palette and gritty texture compliments their heady brew of r o c k , c o u n t r y, g o s p e l & S o u t h e r n s o u l .

OVERVIEW Mantra Skate Supply Co, is a budding company founded by Andrea Parent, ready to bust whatever needs be to make sure a skaters ride is smooth, reliable, and unique. Whether it be wheels, trucks, decks or apparel, Mantra has it all. They understand that skating can be so much more t h a n a s p o r t ; I t ’s a n a r t f o r m , a n d a w a y o f l i f e .
SOLUTION The identity Mantra came from how it feels to skate, almost a soothing meditative trance. All outside worries and stress melts away when riding. Skate becomes the mantra and, as life is cyclical, Mantra becomes what you skate. The brand was inspired by alchemical symbols and Hermetical sciences, miked with modern street art.

OVERVIEW The Stand is a post-apocalyptic horror/fantasy novel by American author Stephen King, that is strongly influenced by the Book of Revelations. Set in 1980, a weaponized strain of influenza, o f f i c i a l l y k n o w n a s P r o j e c t B l u e a n d n i c k n a m e d “ C a p t a i n Tr i p s ” , i s a c c i d e n t a l l y r e l e a s e d . I t c r e a t e s a pandemic of apocalyptic proportions, killing off almost all of the worlds’ population. The book narrates from before the virus, during the spread, and after; focusing in on the few remaining survivors.
SOLUTION I’ve taken excerpts from the novel, using the text and imagery within to create illustrations. They c a p t u r e t h e e m o t i o n s o f i n s a n i t y, d i s o r i e n t a t i o n , s i c k n e s s , a n d c h a o s t h a t t h e s t o r y p o r t r a y s .

OVERVIEW This is my first, handmade Ethiopian Codex. The wood was cut and shaped to size, painted and burned. It houses all of this semesters better sketches, and showcases my increasingly favorite style of simple colors and smooth lines. My work includes Alchemical and Hermetic influences, geometrical shapes, and a mix of doodles and character sketches. It is an important part of my life and the book itself has become a very dear object to me. I carry it with me now where ever I go.
