Analysing the site, due to the nature of the project I have focused on the accessibility and crime in the area. Following the research I have concluded that the area is relatively low crime, thus the need for some boundaries. While this will maintain the disconnection around the site, it will also preserve safety. < Site development following the Glasshouse - community lead design workshop.

A natural “soft” barrier designed to protect the privacy and safty of the Pankhurst Center’s visitors and workers. 3. Site is enclosed by the landscape that created beautiful views. 4. The form of the building acts as a subtle beacon within the surrounding forrest, a visual clue for the juxtaposition implied by the Feminist School of Masculinty. 5. Scheme provides much needed green space in the city, while providing bounderies. 05

For my third year studio project I had to design a Feminist School of… something. My issues of choice was putting an end to toxic masculinity, by creating a school that teaches healthy ways of being masculine.

Manifesto

“What Were You Wearing?” “Did You Do Anything That Could Have Been Misinterpreted?” “Why’d You Stay With Them?

Such excuses should not be tolerated anymore, instead the abusers should be

held accountable for their actions. Starting from the belief that such behaviour stems from toxic masculine views.

The Feminist School of Masculinity aims to shift the blame from victim to abuser and acknowledge

real problem in order to provide viable solutions to encourage progress the

in the right direction. This will be achieved by teaching a

new and healthy

way of viewing masculinity through both psychological and physical means, encouraging personal

growth.

Year 3 Humanities project Anthropology of home

For the humanities unit that I have chosen this year I had to use a variety of practical research methods to study the use of space. The main focus was how habits shape the way we use space, and the impact of sensory factors on said habits.

Year 2 Studio project LGBT+ Housing Scheme

The site for this project was bordering Manchester’s Gay Village, which highly influence my process, complementing the programme I have chose. With the closeness of Gay Village I have decided to create a proposal that would accommodate the LGBT+ community. The building will house the LGBT+ elderly as well as it will function as a shelter for at risk LGBT+ youth.
