Cherokee Museum The Smoky Mountains, North Carolina Professor Claudio Noriega Spring 2019

The Great Smoky Mountains are our new attraction for the Cherokee Museum. The construct was inspired by the falling feather from Cherokee’s sacrifices. The construct looks to celebrate the Cherokee’s importance in history, and it honors the unforgettable “Trail of Tears”. The architectural intervention highlights the importance of family values and respect for traditions as the basic structure of society.
