ChronoCloud is a chinese company who develops healthcare devices for everyday use that are connected to a cloud storage that reads, collects and stores digital data from their devices. To match their innovative system with a whole new, modern take on healthcare devices,
ChronoCloud invited MADE Innovation to help them with the design a new blood pressure monitor that interacted seamlessly with users and their smartphones. After interviewing several users and testing the userproduct interaction, we identified some key problems.

Pill box
In order to design a better user experience, our team came to realize that we had to design not just a blood pressure monitor and armband, but also a terminal/ dock and a pill box, all connected to an app through wifi or bluetooth.
Experimentation
10
The design team explored fashion items rather than medical devices for inspiration. We challenged the traditional conception of blood pressure devices by using material contrasts with organic shapes to create a design
that tries to be invisible when is being used under the clothes. The position of the blood pressure device on the arm (horizontal position or vertical position), was also a factor that we took into consideration.

In collaboration with Hoyi we developed an air purifier as part of a new family of three air purifiers with the same design language style but different sizes. MADE Innovation was responsible for the design from the concept development to the detailing of the metal parts and production support.

After defining our strategy, we started ideating and coming up with fresh and new ideas based on our target market for Hoyi’s air purifier. We gathered together with the client and discussed about the concepts that we thought could be more unique compared to Hoyi’s competitors.

Beijing Network Company is a high-tech product development company, that provides network multimedia services. MADE Innovation was invited by BNT to design a new TV Box and a remote control for their new sub-brand CCHVC (China’s Cloud High-Video Communciation). I was part of the team responsible for the development of the remote.

We looked to the TV box for inspiration. Our goal was to use the same design language for both the TV box and the remote control. At one point of our ideation phase we decided to combine the keypad and touchpad in one design element.

DFK is a chinese brand that develops healthcare products for people with disabilities. MADE Innovation was asked to redesign a new cutlery set (spoon and fork) for rehabilition centres located in the northeast of China. This project was sponsored by the Chinese Lottery Organization.

Experimentation
39
Based on our insights we developed three concepts that we believed could be a step forward in the cutlery business for people with hand disabilities. At one point we focused on a mechanism to easily fix the metal part of the spoon in any position. This mechanism should be flexible, affordable and easy to use.
