Queens competition
The people that log on to our website have already noticed we had a competion going. The idea was to make a sketch with the them ‘Queen’ and to send this in before the 1st of April. We were really happy with the results so we’ve selected the 5 best sketches on this page. All the other sketches are still on our site: www.catfightmagazine.com/forum. The lucky winner of the ocmpetition was Candi from Portugal. She got a Catfight t-shirt for her sketch and ofcourse: eternal fame.

t y n t f e i C F The people who know her fotolog also know that Mushi is always up to something. She’s always drawing and making funny stuff. In the last few weeks i have been visiting her flog regularly because she was making what you see here: a 50 Cent doll !!! And weird as it may sound, she got the opportunity to really give the doll to the man himself. He thought it was funny... And yeah, so do we! Foto’s: www.fotolog.net/minimushi

Microbo
Koralie
Étoiles Urbaines Espace Beaurepaire, Paris, France April 14 - 22 April, 2006 On the windows there was a tape collage by Aleteia and Ephameron, you could say that combo was “a match made in heaven”. The stars of Aleteia gave the illustrations of Ephameron some extra magic. Inside the ‘Espace’ there was a small shop where they sold some buttons, magazines and also clothing by Kid Vanilla. This fashion designer from Antwerp has a punky-80’s style with a sweet touch. Swoon

Walking through the exhibition the works that impressed me most were from Microbo, Koralie and Swoon. Unlike the others Microbo presented her work quite spatial. In her corner she created a friendly atmosphere that takes you directly into her world. Swoon also created her own small world. Her work was really breathtaking beautiful. By looking through small holes in boxes you could see something that looked like a movie set or theater including the light and atmosphere. If you are familiar with her work, you can recognize her style of papercuts and drawings.
Ephameron
Aleteia
The paintings of Koralie are very graphic, no wonder she did some real painting and some poster designs for this exhibition. The posters were done together with Fafi. Her work was nice but not very surprising or different from her other work. Pax’ work is different from the rest in several ways. You can see she is slightly older than the other ladies. Not only in the media she uses but also in the subjects she chooses. Her portrait drawings and video work seem very personal as the drawn persons look straight at you. Étoiles Urbaines was a great show to see with a good variety of artists. We hope there will be a sequel of this show in the future. Pax
