EXT. SCHOOL - DAY DYLAN, high school freshmen, dressed poorly with messy hair, rushes down an empty hallway, with an open backpack, unorganized paper, and in complete disorder. The bell rings signaling his tardiness. He arrives to class and sits down. INT. CLASSROOM - MOMENTS LATER Dylan works on a test when the phone rings. The TEACHER goes to the phone, with several of the students looking at the teacher. The teacher hangs up the phone. TEACHER Dylan, can you come outside? Bring your stuff. Leave your test. Dylan takes his backpack, leaving his paper. EXT. HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS Dylan comes outside into the hallway. TEACHER I'm sorry, but something has happened to your father. The world becomes silent. Dylan has a distant, blank look upon his face. EXT. HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS Dylan, bolts out of the building in disbelief and disbelief. He runs far into a corner. Falling to his knees, Dylan breaks down into tears. CUT TO: TITLE FADE IN INT. ROOM - NIGHT (4 YEARS LATER) Dylan opens the door to his room, places his bag on the floor, and drops his keys onto the TV stand. He walks by the stand when he knocks something over. He looks it to see the empty picture frame with the glass shattered. Damn.

DYLAN

Dylan, sighing and putting his drink on the stand, crouches down to pick the glass up with the picture frame that has a quote "Your greatest limits are you" etched in.

2

Dylan starts to pick up the glass when he hears different voices in his head. MOTHER (V.O.) Sweetie, you need to get out-MICHAEL (V.O.) You're boring, bro VICTORIA (V.O.) It's been 4 years Josh-- it's one night. JOSH (V.O.) It's one party. SARAH (V.O.) It's your birthday. It's okay. Dylan's vision begins to blur as he gets light-headed. Dylan sways more to his right. Dylan hits onto the floor on his right side. MATCH CUT TO: DYLAN ON FLOOR INT. CLASSROOM - NIGHT (LIMBO) Dylan wakes up in a classroom on the floor. The classroom looks standard, besides a thick layer of fog covering the floor. Dylan scrambles to remove himself off the floor when he sees a surprising view. Dylan sees a room filled with only chairs all in straight parallel lines. One chair draws Dylan toward it. Dylan walks toward that chair until he bumps into a table corner. Dylan moves back to see a regular classroom. Confused by his perception, Dylan rushes out of the room. CUT TO: DOOR OPENING INT. HALLWAY - NIGHT (LIMBO) Dylan stumbles out at the end of the hallway. A thin layer of fog covers the floor. The lockers are shut with the trash can on the right side of the doors. However, all the classroom doors are open. Dylan trudges down the hallway until another pair of footsteps are heard. Dylan looks over his shoulder with nothing in sight. When Dylan looks back, the trash can no longer exists with a single locker open.

3

Intrigued by the locker, Dylan steers himself towards it to look inside. Dylan picks up an object from within the locker and all emotion becomes lost within his eyes. Only a cold, sad, and blank look exists in the pupils. Dylan holds a textbook sized tombstone engraved with his father's name. On the tombstone it quotes "Your greatest limits are you". Tears escape his eyes in which he swipes at with his arm. When he places his hand back on the tombstone, Dylan receives a paper cut on his right hand. After looking at his finger, he returns to the tombstone which is now a history textbook. At the sound of a sword collision with the floor, Dylan flings the book back into the locker. Dylan looks left to see the shadow of a figure and the shiny edge of the blade. Dylan glances right with the trash can back on the left side of the doors. The blade strikes down fast while Dylan moves quickly to evade it in fear. DYLAN Who the hell are you? What are you doing-Shadow moves toward Dylan with the blade dragging on the floor. SHADOW I am everything you fear. Everything-Shadow swings the blade up from the floor swiftly. Dylan takes a step back leaning. SHADOW --Everything holding you back DYLAN Stop! What do you want? SHADOW I want you to stop evading-The blade comes back down. Dylan spins out of the way, with Shadow facing the doors. SHADOW --and fight! COME ON. Dylan rushes at Shadow, tackling on impact.

4

CUT TO: DOOR FLYING OPEN EXT. HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS (LIMBO) Dylan and Shadow fly out into the open, cold night. Shadow lands hard cracking the mask on his face. Shadow pushes off the floor as the mask falls off. Dylan looks at the face of Shadow revealing an older man who he recognizes to be his FATHER. Da--

DYLAN

Dylan stares in disbelief as Father comes at him leaving the sword. Dylan knocks his father to the floor. They both get off the floor and [A FIGHT] ensues, where his father mirrors every move Dylan makes. Father gets the advantage as he knocks Dylan down to the floor and gets a choke hold on Dylan. Dylan struggles, finding no way out. His hand searches the ground for something to his advantage. Dylan's eyes begin to close, on the brink of losing consciousness. FATHER You put up a good fight. Now you need to let go. Dad--

DYLAN

(gasping) Stop, please. FATHER Let go son, His hand comes across a broken glass shard of the picture frame. He grabs a hold of it and stabs it into Father's neck. Father releases the hold, collapsing to the floor. Dylan gets out, breathing heavily. Dylan turns around confused by the sights once again, of a face, not his father, but a doppelganger. He picks up the blade his father was wielding. It quotes "Your greatest limits are you". Dylan realizes the events and the message.

5

In the blade's reflection, his eyes no longer hold a cold, empty stare. It now reflects a more focused look. Dylan drops the blade to the floor. MATCH CUT TO: SOUND OF BLADE CONNECTING TO PANS CRASHING INT. ROOM - DAY Dylan wakes up to the clashing of pots and pans. With the sun on his face, Dylan looks at the picture frame on the floor, all pieced together as if it was never broken. Dylan smiles at the picture frame with a photo of him and his father and puts it back on the stand. Dylan picks up his phone and makes a call to Victoria. DYLAN Hey, I was wondering-Dylan laughs and smiles. CUT TO: BLACK THE END
