Joint Base Andrews Provider of the Year
Michelle Damon was recently selected as the 2014 JBA Family Child Care Provider of the Year. She has been a licensed provider for 7 years and is the ultimate professional, placing the interests of children and families as the focus of her child care business. Michelle is the wife of TSgt Frank Damon IV and has two sons, Frank Damon V and Logan. Michelle has been and continues to be a mentor to other FCC Providers. She is always available for them to call anytime. Michelle makes daily and weekly goals to keep her child care home the best that it can be and to keep it working efficiently. Being a Family Child Care Provider has allowed Michelle to stay at home and raise her family, provide much needed child care to active-duty and DoD personnel and provide extra income for her household. Our child care providers are skilled in providing children a loving environment that complements our provider’s standards and values. Parents choosing a Family Child Care home can leave for work each day, secure in the knowledge that their children are receiving tender loving care from the home environment we offer. I have been a military spouse for over 14 years. Child care is all I have ever known. I started out babysitting at 10 yrs old. Prior to becoming a FCC Provider I worked 4 yrs at the McGuire AFB CDC. I truly enjoyed working with children. One of the most rewarding things for me is watching them learn and grow. Knowing that I was able to contribute to that growth is a great feeling. -Michelle Damon
