Message from the President
Dear Members, Please see Page 7 for info on our Christmas Dinner Dance which will be on December 8. We will not be having the 50/50 or door prizes for this dance. Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share. The fire hall staff is preparing the meal. The Christmas dance committee is planning a special evening. Send in your reservations or call me for information. We are looking forward to a wonderful event!
The Third Friday Night Club Event will be held on Friday, December 21. See page 3. The sign-up sheet for hosting a dance is on page 3. At our November dance, PA Villagers played a great variety of tunes that was enjoyed by the 68 members and guests which included new and old friends. So glad you could come. CCPDA Meetings The next Board meeting will be held on Thursday, December 6, at 6:30 PM and the General Meeting will start at 7:30 PM. Meetings are held at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 125 East Main Street, Shiremanstown, PA. See alley at right of church that leads to parking lot and Fellowship Hall. ______________________________________________________________

Starting January 2019, the newsletter will be distributed every other month — for a total of 6 per year. This will result in a savings in paper, labels and postage. The newsletter will continue to be emailed and sent via US mail.

Chambers Hill Fire Hall, 6400 Chambers Hill Road, Harrisburg, PA CCPDA members have been entertaining our special needs friends for over thirty years. They enjoy talking to Santa and Mrs. Claus. The club gives a personal Christmas card with a $5.00 gift to everyone. We no longer have a Polka program but an organizer provides the latest music and they love to dance . Dear Capital City Polka Dancers Members, As we approach this Thanksgiving and Christmas season, it is a great time to recognize all of those who help keep our club moving in a positive manner. We certainly need all of those who give their time and talents. To the Officers, Directors, Board Members, Money Guardians, Record Keepers, Membership Recorders, Ticket Personnel, Hosts, Publicity People, Newsletter Writers, Assemblers, and Distributers , Picnic Directors and Workers, Hospitality Personnel, Table Decorators, Clean Up Personnel, etc. WE SAY A SUPER BIG THANK YOU. If you want to see who some of these people are, just look at the names on the first page of the well written newsletter. By the way, there is still room for you to help in some way, some manner, to contribute to the well being of OUR club.
