Daniel Gauthier’s new train service makes waves in the tourism world The world may not exactly be full of talented individuals that have succeeded in making a name for them out there. But there are still a substantial number of them. However, it is not everyday that one hears of someone with a sizeable fortune, who is willing to use their riches for the common good of mankind. To find one such individual, they’d have to travel all the way to Quebec, Canada and ask for a gentleman named Daniel Gauthier. It was Daniel who’d stamped his class all over the entertaining world of Circuses with his Cirque Du Soleil and now he is set on having an encore all over again. Daniel is busy these days, working on his latest instalment on the tourism world, with a rather unique train service. A three-part plan is in place to transform the seasonal favourite town of Charlevoix into a travel and tourism destination that shall be accessible to snowboarding and skiing enthusiasts all year round. Such is the dedication of the Quebec local that he is reported to have pledged over 300 Million $ of his own wealth to watch his dream come true. Not content with simply having a new train, he apparently wished to run the train according to his own timings and brought out the entire track on which the train is to run. The new service is scheduled to operate between the city of Quebec and straight onto the gateway to the Charlevoix – Baie-Saint-Paul, with just a short stopover at the ski slopes to let the snow-worshippers zip off. The train service is an ideal demonstration of the same innovative streak as his iconic circus and his entrepreneurship skills. He’s gone back to Chicago to pick up their twin-level commuter cars and stripped out their upper galleries. He’s then outfitted the expansive space in materials, treatments and accessories that ooze class and luxury from everywhere. Deploying the techno-wizardry that is typical of him, Daniel has installed a premium speaker system, in conjunction with having bespoke tablets, every few seats. Running off an advanced Global Positioning System (GPS), there is a constant stream of audio-visual reminders for passengers keen on learning about the spot through which the train is passing. Reruns are freely available and can be commanded at the mere flick or two of the fingers. As this breath-taking project comes to fruition, Daniel Gauthier is going to be a rich and happy man. The travel and tourism news industry has already been buzzing over the prospects of the train service being thrown open for bookings, just in time for the current tourist season.
