Suplementary Cementitious Material Class-F Fly Ash Much Long before cement was invented, it was observed that volcanic ash, when combined with lime, produced a very durable material. This material was used to construct the Roman aqueducts and other structures of Roman origin that are still standing after more than 2,000 years. Our ancestors learned long ago what we recently have recreated, that is, a durable construction material of high performance. Fly Ash is one of the products resulting from burning mineral coal during generation of electricity. It consists of tiny spherical particles which chemically interact with hydrated lime from cement to produce cementitious compounds in what is known as a pozzolanic reaction. There are many benefits to the use of fly ash in concrete. Some of these are: Benefits: - Decrease of potential moisture transmission roofs and other structural elements. - Significant reduction in concrete permeability - Chemical resistance to detrimental salts - Better protection to embedded steel reinforcement - Dramatical increase in the durability of concrete - Long term compressive strength are higher with fly ash concrete

INDUSTRIALIZED MORTARS savings of project time that could double these savings. The key to this method and to the savings for the contractor stems from the fact that it is an industrialized system, which means that you work with a superior quality plaster mix, an unequaled surface finish, a virtually instantaneous preparation ofthe mix, a continuous flow of mix, and an application by means of a plastering equipment that quickly covers surfaces. In this manner, construction workers and their assistants can complete 3 to 5 times more square areas of plastering a day, reducing the days needed for this work and resulting in savings for the project, and therefore, for the contractor. The industrialized mortar products of Ecológica Carmelo provide a solution with alternatives that include plastering mix, structural mortar mix, floor topping mix, self-leveling mix, general purpose mortar, polymer modified thin-set mortars and concrete resurfacing compounds. All of these alternatives offer economic advantages to the contractor and a cleaner environment for the project, and they diminish the completion time of the project.

Industrialized Mortars The demands of modern day construction are not limited to quality and cost, since time can be a key issue and is considered by some to be one of the most important aspects of a project. During the construction process of a project there are several related stages that follow a strict and unalterable sequence that directly affects the amount of time required by a project, and as a consequence has a direct effect on the contractor’s costs. The process of plastering or as it is technically known mortar coating, of indoor and outdoor walls and ceilings, is one of the phases or stages previously mentioned. There are two methods for preparing and applying the plaster mixture, the conventional method and the industrialized method. The industrialized method is relatively new in Occident, but it has been the principal method used in Europe by most contractors for several decades. This method accelerates the time it takes to prepare and apply the plaster mixtures making it 3 to 5 times faster than the conventional method, with a savings of up to 50% per square yard of applied plaster.

DRY MORTARS Topping Mix A mix of cement, Class F fly ash, specially graded masonry sand and admixtures combined in carefully controlled proportions to give a product of consistent quality with good mixing, placing and finishing characteristics. The product is also Environmentally Friendly containing recycled materials and local regional materials.
Carmelo Smooth Finish Ii is designed to smooth surfaces by providing a soft texture. It can be used to correct cosmetic flaws in precast and cast-inplace structures by matching the smooth texture of the overall element to be treated. If required, the product can be formulated specifically to match the color of the substrate. The product has high water retention promoting full hydration and high bond strength to concrete and masonry surfaces.
Self Leveling for Countertops
Self Leveling for Countertops is a poured-in-place cement based compound that selflevels and cures to create flat, hard surfaces on molds for concrete countertops. The product is also used to level floors, correct construction errors, or as a follow-up to rough-screed projects.
