You may qualify for assistance to help cover the costs of assisted living in Miami. If you are a United States veteran or surviving spouse of a Veteran, you may qualify for the Aid & Attendance Program and receive monthly benefits to help cover the costs of assisted living care. It allows for Veterans and surviving spouses who require the regular attendance of another person to assist in day-today activities to receive additional monetary compensation and care in an assisted living facility also qualifies. Additionally this is a tax-free benefit that most veterans needing assistance qualify for.

What are the benefits of Aid & Attendance? For 2012, A&A benefit can provide up to $1,732 per month to a veteran, $1,113/month to a surviving spouse, or $2,2054 per month to a couple. *
How do you qualify for the Aid & Attendance Benefit? The following are the 3 key eligibility requirements: The Veteran must have served in active military for 90 or more consecutive days, with 1 day during a period of wartime, as defined by the Veterans Administration. The Veteran must be over the age of 65 or disabled. The veteran must have been discharged under anything other than dishonorable conditions.
