Program: The design of the Gelson’s Village at Calabasas creates an ambience much like an early European village. Within the 40,000 sf Gelson’s Market each specialty area has an individual identity, creating a unique interior and shopping experience. The center incorporates generous outdoor pedestrian and eating areas which front the market and the adjacent 24,600 sf boutique retail and restaurant space.

HAMILTON MARKETPLACE Nevato, California client: Grosvenor Americas Program: 93,000 sf mission style shopping center is a showcase of premiere development uniting historic features with green energy and sustainable construction. This northern Marin enclave of local and national retailers is home to a 56,000 sf Safeway, one of the most recognizable lifestyle grocers in the nation, and an adjacent fuel station. The development is one of the first centres in North America to use solar energy to power its community space. Other sustainable features include on-site storm water treatment and retention systems and reflective roofing. client: Vintage Real Estate, LLC Program: Renovation and expansion of a retail shopping center in Laguna Hills, CA. The project currently consists of a 60,000 square foot retail shopping center. A 28,000 square foot expansion will include a “Fresh Market� high end grocery store and additional retail space, bringing the total GLA to over 88,000 square feet. The proposed design and repositioning of the existing project reimages the center into a California coastal vernacular, reinforcing the desirable lifestyle of this coastal community. Design elements include proposed variation of parapet heights, roof elements, louvered awnings, structure shades, parking and parking lot lighting, landscape, modern signage and incorporation of an existing equestrian trail will all better accomodate the new shopping village. Program: The existing Circuit City was 45,701 square feet and the team added 5,750 square feet, bringing the final building total to 51,451 square feet. Ashley Furniture Homestore occupies 33,706 square feet of the building and Total Wine occupies 17,745 square feet. The renovation also included site improvements, compliance with current water quality standards and all new landscape.
