10am-5pm. reconnect (verb): to connect again, get back in touch and rediscover. A full day nourishing retreat for mums, space to rest, restore and replenish. Saturday 2 October: Psalms, Psinging and Psandwiches

10am - 3:30pm. Poster for Psalms, Psinging and Psandwiches eventCome and explore psalmody at this regional event of the Hymn Society. This will be a really interesting day studying psalms and the variety of ways they can be sung. It will be led by speakers from Bedford, Reading and Gloucestershire. The day will include talks on Anglican chant, psalms in hymnody and the liturgical use of psalms. Sung examples will include new metrical translations from Psalms for the Common Era by Adam Carlill, psalms sung as plainsong, anglican chant, anthems, hymns and more. Sundays 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 October: The weekly Horniman Market

10am – 3pm. The weekly Horniman Market is open to provide food items including fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread, cake, meat and street food. Alongside food stalls, you’ll find body care, clothing, jewellery, design and craft; most are locally produced, ethical and many use environmentally friendly materials, natural and organic ingredients. Market stalls will be positioned outdoors at a safe distance from each other to ensure we can maintain a social distance for all customers and traders. Please note, the Horniman Gardens and Gardens toilets are open, with the usual Gardens opening hours.

7.30pm-10.15pm. On Sunday October 3rd we welcome Tamesas to Dulwich Folk!

Tamesas are Aimee Leonard, Emmie Ward and Kate Jones, our own local folk supergroup. You can expect intricate vocal harmonies with songs and music from the UK, Europe and America using among others fiddle, Bodhran, ukulele, flute and shruti box using gentle storytelling to driving, funky up-tempo rhythms.

Monday 4 October: Aronowitz Ensemble

7.30pm-9.30pm. Magnus set up the Aronowitz Ensemble in 2004, with his brother Guy and Tom as founder members. They are former BBC New Generation Artists, and between them they have won National and International competitions including BBC Young Musician of the Year, Scottish International Piano Competition and have been recipients of the Borletti-Buitoni Award and the Royal Society’s Inspiration Award. Magnus has guest led the Orchestra at the Royal Opera House and the Philharmonia amongst others, Guy was recently televised performing the SaintSaens Cello Concerto at the Proms, and Tom is currently artistic director of the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective who are resident ensemble at London’s Wigmore Hall.

Tuesdays 5, 12, 19 & 26 October: Tuesday Evening Life

Drawing Zoom & Drop-in Session

7pm – 8:30pm. This is an online drawing & painting session conducted via Zoom and in studio. Long pose life painting and drawing. A single pose held for three hours with 5-minute model breaks every 25 minutes. This class will be run by Freya Tate, a wonderful artist with a sharp eye and a playful line. The session will be life model focused but Freya will introduce chaotic elements to challenge you and move your drawing on to higher levels.
