Wednesdays 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 December: Zoom Portraiture @ Dulwich Art Group & School

2pm - 5pm. This is now a hybrid session with 15 artists allowed into the studio and also cameras for artists attending through Zoom. Paint a clothed model with a focus on the portrait over two three-hour sessions. We give you a wide view and a closer portrait view so you can work out the framing for yourself. The model will at times be engaged in conversation to bring some animation to the face.

Lex Hamilton, highly acclaimed florist, recently featured in Vogue, is leading this creative workshop to design your very own Christmas wreath. Lex will be here to guide you through the process, helping you to select the best foliage, perfect your design and work with you to add your own creative flair. Saturday 4 December: Bell House Open Garden

11am-1pm. Bell House is opening its garden for visitors to explore. The Walled Garden comprises of raised beds filled with kitchen essentials grown organically. The House Garden features a rose garden and woodland walk designed to attract wildlife and provide safe habitats. The gardens are a place of community learning, maintained by volunteers who promote gardening as an activity for physical and mental well-being. Arrive anytime between 11am and 12:45. Tea and coffee will be available. We encourage a £5 donation that will go towards garden maintenance and activities. Free tickets are also available. There have been many changes to the service over the years but the sense of community and creative spirit has remained at the heart of everything they do. Their courses have changed countless lives, enabling people to achieve their goals and transform their lives through learning. Many learners have gained qualifications whilst balancing their studies alongside work and family commitments, others have developed their hobbies into creative businesses. Develop a Hobby

If you want to develop a new creative skill or develop your hobby there are classes for beginners through to practicing artists, taught by subject specialists, artists, designers and industry professionals. Courses include: drawing and painting, clothes making, jewellery design, glass work, pottery, illustration, upholstery, photography, printmaking and more. Improve Your Qualifications

Improve your career prospects or gain the qualifications you need for further study by improving your English and Maths and gain a nationally recognized qualification. ALL also offer accredited courses for English speakers of other languages (ESOL) at all levels, including preparation courses for the SELT exams to gain British Citizenship. Adult Learning Lewisham Supported Learning

Courses for adults with learning difficulties, physical and sensory disabilities and mental health issues; designed to improve health and wellbeing or to gain employment, are also available. Sarah is enjoying her Supported Learning Home Management course, ‘I signed up for the course to learn more about nutritious food, explore new recipes and meet new people. ‘The course gives structure to my day and gets me out of the house. It also encourages me to exercise as I walk to class and back. I like cooking, learning new skills; and I’ve also learnt about safety in the kitchen, which helps me at home. ‘My confidence in cooking and mixing with people is growing. I like the friendliness of the class and I get lots of support from my tutor Georgia and Maria, the kitchen assistant.
