MOUNTFIELD ROVERS JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB

Established back in 1969 by a local dad on Mountfield Road to provide better football opportunities for his sons and their friends, he couldn’t have imagined what the club would go on to become. Today, we’re an FA Charter Standard club, providing football training and league matches for children of all ages and genders. The journey begins with our Little Rovers Football School where children in Reception and Year 1 receive professional weekly coaching sessions run by SK Football Coaching in Bramhall. Each summer, these players ‘graduate’ into teams to play league matches at a level that suits them.

More recently, we’re proud to have launched our girls-only Wildcats programme. This is the perfect way for girls in Reception up to Year 6 to get involved with football, with weekly professional coaching sessions run by 8BY8 in Bramhall, and an option to form girls’ teams.

Our teams range from our Under 6 development team, all the way up to our Under 18s, training and playing matches in various leagues. Despite being a much bigger club than we were in 1969, we are still a club made up of volunteers and are still very much at the heart of the Bramhall community.
