You can register your tree from 15th November 2021 . online at www. charityxmastreecollection.com The collection has been run by community volunteers, sponsors and donors for nearly 10 years in partnership with St Ann’s Hospice who receive 85% of the net proceeds. The average donation is around £15 per tree. The 2021 collection raised over £50k for St Ann’s Hospice in their 50th year! Rachel McMillan, Chief Executive of St Ann’s, said: “This year we’re celebrating our We’re approaching our 50th birthday at St Ann’s Hospice. We’re proud to be one of the oldest and largest hospices in the UK, in 2021 and the fact that we’re still here after half a century and still able to support local patients is down to the amazing support of our local communities. Everyone who makes a donation really does enable us to keep our doors open and allows us to continue to provide specialist care to those who need it most. Thank you.” Emma Dixon, Director of Clinical Services at St Ann’s Hospice, said: “Our teams continue to work tirelessly on the front line to make sure that patients and their loved ones can access the care they need. This has been a really hard year for all of us, especially at the hospice where our teams have been working tirelessly on the front line to make sure that patients and their loved ones can access the care they need. We’ve adapted and grown our services to ensure they still meet the needs of those who rely on us for specialist hospice care, and can only continue to do so thanks to the support of local people. Please do consider registering your tree and making a donation so we can continue to provide care into 2022 and beyond.” Dr Paul Jarvis, Director of Business Development at St Ann’s Hospice, said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has really hit us hard at St Ann’s, with many of our fundraising events and activities cancelled. As an organisation, we need to raise around £20,000 a day to keep our services running, and we need the support of our local communities now more than ever. We can only keep our doors open if we continue to raise the money we need - the care of patients both now and in the future is reliant on your support, so thank you for taking part in this Christmas tree scheme. We really appreciate everything you do for St Ann’s and the people we care for.” Why have JUST HELPING recycle your Christmas Tree away in 2022? You don’t have to put it in your own car and have to clean up the mess! All trees are recycled in an environmentally- friendly way. Your donation goes to local notn- for-profit organisations with 80% going to St Ann’s Hospice.
It’s a WIN-WIN for all! www.charityxmastreecollection.com

CHARITY CHRISTMAS CARD SHOPS SET TO RE-OPEN FOR 2021 CELEBRATING ITS 50TH YEAR
The Combined Charities Christmas card shops will reopen this year with a big fanfare to celebrate 50 years of trading and raising over £5.5m during this time. The planned shops for 2020 had to be cancelled just 3 days before the official openings due to the UK being placed back into lockdown. Sheila Hallas MBE and her amazing group of volunteers were not to be deterred and the team plodded on making plans for 2021. Returning late October and early November, the 4 shops will have a large choice and variety of cards from all our charities that you can purchase from. The gifts and novelties range, which help pay for the shops’ costs, will also have lots to offer. This means that by selling the gifts, all cost associated with the shops are covered and every single penny from the sale of the Christmas cards goes straight back to the charity. “It’s a great feeling to be back doing what we enjoy and helping others in the process” said Sheila, “following last year’s disappointment of not being able to open at the critical point when many charities were really struggling due to covid and needed all the help they could get, we are thrilled to be back. We do of course have covid safe protocols in place so customers and volunteers can be assured we are doing all we can to keep everyone safe.” The card shops have various opening dates from 30th October and will trade until early December at Wilmslow, Macclesfield, and Altrincham Libraries and at The Curzon Cinema in Knutsford. Please look at the website for exact opening dates and times and you’ll also find a good variety of cards to buy on the website. www.christmas-cards.org.uk
