One of the major trends seen on every, and i mean every , Fall 2012 Haute Couture collection is embellished garments with a sheer aspect to it. Particullarly Armani Prive’, Elie Saab, Versace, Maison Martin Margiela, and Ulyana Sergeenko incorporated this trend. Given Haute Couture pays keen attention to detail with every garment hand sewn, every single bead is beaded, one may think that this is just standard. Designers stepped up the usual beading and added interest with Sheer fabrics . The beading creates designs within the garment and often will convey a lace pattern. The sheer fabrics are heavily beaded, which is not only intricate and the most delicate thing to do to that type of fabric, but it makes such an elegant statement.
THE TREND:
For a spectacular night out, opt for dresses with beading or sequins. The new maxi dress (drop hem) with a sheer overlay with some simple beading inexpensive way to acheive this look. Can’t find beading in stores yet? Then get SEQUINS! Before one can go off with a mind set of sequins are very 90’s, take note at Chanel, and even Armani who incorporated sequins thoughout their collections. To accomplish a sheerly embellished look in the workplace, without going out and buying a sheer blouse with beading, I sugguest headcandy ( headpieces, clips, embellished headbands) . To make a severe statement when going out , veil it! Yes, Veils are a major statement peice. Maison Martin Margiela
It is music to my ears! An absolute FALL MUST HAVE!!!! Golden Tones have been major all year from pret-a-porter, to couture, to street fashion. Blame it on the trickle up, trickle down, or the Queens interest in Gold; Gold is now an intricate part of everyones wardrobe. A golden wavelength that shifts back and forth between different shades, Golden tones include Rose Gold, Golden Yellow, Harvest Gold, Sunglow, and even “old gold. Designers Elie Saab, Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier, showcased these shades of gold heavily throughout their collections.

THE TREND:
Due to gold being a major statement item since last fall, being able to incorporate this look into your wardrobe should be easy and seamless. You name it, you will more than likely be able to find it in gold. A Gold belt, be it Hermes, or even Gucci will accentuate the most simple outfit to create a more complex look. Belting and emphasizing the waist is a strong trend due to the cropped top trend in spring. In addtion, Black and Gold are the seasons most prominent foundation colors. Using them in harmony will create a bold and regal look. Chanel

NATURE’S CALLING As the seasons change, as do the vibrance and hue. Floral Prints were in full bloom in the spring and summer seasons and are prodominant for fall. Instead of the bright pastel, and even neon floral prints, the fall shades are darker variations of forest greens, emralds, and violets. Giambattista Valli, Christian Dior, Valentino and Chanel incorporated this floral theme though some of the garments in their collection. While the dark forest shades remain prevelenat floral print for Fall 2012, embroidery and floral cutouts as shown in previous pages, are integrated through all collections.
THE TREND:
To achieve the floral trend without using a print, opt for embroderied flowers on peplum tops and dresses. Floral prints are best expressed when worn as a complete look from head to toe. Not one for floral prints? A different way to acheive the floral look besides dressing in the moss shades of green, you can opt for a digitized ombre print. Chrisitan Dior and Armani Prive’(NOT SHOWN) created a digitized ombre print. The Ombre gives the illusion of floral Christian Dior

PAST NEUTRAL
Keeping it classic, black and white are prominent colors this season as they always are. The difference this season is that black and white is being spiced up with the soft and sultry pastel shades. Pastels made their debut in Spring 2012, and will remain throughout the fall season. The more classic contemporary Couture collections by Bouchra Jarrar, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Armani Prive’, Chanel and even Versace have amped up their black and white sillhouettes with Pastels.
THE TREND:
If wearing black and white, go all out with a pattern from head to toe. By far, my favorite trend of the season is, paring pastels with neutral colors. Mixing Pastels with colors from the ivory coast ( sand, tan, beige, winter white, etc) will create a cohesive look with pop. Pastel is suddle but effective. This is my favorite trend because it is so wearable. Anybody can icorporate this into their wardrobe. A chic pastel a line skirt paired with a neutral blush blazer with a gold belt to emphasize the waist is only one of many ways to wear this trend. All of my fashionistas out there should definately go for the head to toe pastel look this fall.

THE TREND:
Neon Yellow does not have to be worn as dramatically as those shown. For a more subdued look, venture for a canary neon blazer, or even a neon long/short sleeve top. Because it is so bright and bold, when you do wear this shade, do not be afraid to pair it with other neon or bright colors (red hot, orange). Again adding touches of black can bring the look into the fall season. An Aline dress in this shade with chuncky orange jewelry should do this look justice.
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE As many of the trends from spring swing into fall, neon is not an exception. Neon Yellow is bright, bold, and shockingly outstanding! Christian Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Versace, used this hue as the star in their collections. It is very rare in the fall season that you see this color carry over. The color as you can see on the following page, allows for multiple sillhouettes. A A-line gown, roring 20’s inspired frock, and the sheer indulgence of high low hem gown.
