gross floor area 1,683,425 sq.ft PROJECT PHASE Ongoing, expection completion 2022 This project is a service Apartment design is based on resort-styled with 150,000 sqft of recreational space including a sand beach, wading pool, Leisure pool and Olympic-length Lap Pool. The Service Apartment and commercial buildings have incorporated green building elements such as insulated roof, rain water harvest system, water saving sanitary fittings, energy saving lights and handicapped facilities. My main task for the project was to prepare Waterproofing Layout Plan. Through this project, I gained the knowledge in the selection of waterproofing membrane to be applied from basement to roof to protect wet areas. Besides, I participated with contract documentation and assisted with S&P drawing and to update the building elevation according to the client’s need and building requirement for tender drawing.

Building Plan Submission
The project is high rise tower blocks of 31-Storey SOHO and 31-Storey Service Apartment which consists of 480 units SOHO & 252 units Service Apartment. In this project, I was given the opportunity to be involved in schematic design stage, BP Submission and the preparation of tender drawings. My main tasked with the design of typical SOHO, apartment units, kindergarten, management office plans and elevations. I was also given chance to assist the project architect to in the preparation of BP Submission such as Address Submission and Submission Fee Calculation. After BP submission, I produced tender drawing which included typical shop unit plans, sections and elevations. The amendment of architectural drawings was done according to client’s needs, architect’s design intention, UBBL requirement to ensure in compliance to all relevant design codes, building regulations, and guidelines. My main task in this project was to prepare working drawings and develop detailed drawings in preparation for construction and tender for both project phases. I have learnt the importance of coordination with project team while assisting to check all drawings pertaining to submission drawings to Authorities, and tender and construction drawings. For Phase 1A & 1B, I was entrusted to produce and update construction drawing which includes the following: - Key Plan, Location Plan- Phasing Layout Plan - Master Plan, Site Plan - refer to R&D Drawing, Pre-comp plan, Demarcation of Row, street lighting for coordination - Enlarged Row Plan Drawing- in reference M&E drawings such as sewerage, water reticulation, manhole, M&E TNB Manhole, TELEKOM Manhole, parameter fence, landscape plan trees and to include boundary, road level, drainage, kerb, fire hydrant, bearing, signboard.

This project is a 7-storey educational enclave with contemporary design style that consists of 99 classrooms, Auditorium, Multi-purpose Hall, Sport Centre, and Car park. The design incorperated green building elements by providing sun shade screen for east-west facing, insulated roof, windows to maximize day light, rain water harvest system, water saving sanitary fittings, energy saving lights, and covered bicycle parking facilities. My task for the project was to produce Tender Interior Design Drawings. The space are designed in cube as expressed in the exterior for ease of extensions in future. I was in charge of the design of classroom and multi-purpose room layout. I also assisted the project team with the production of the presentation drawing for meetings. Through this project, I have sharpened post-production skill as it is an essential part of presenting architectural work to client.

The Edge Malaysia-PAM Green Excellence Award judging criteria is that the project must showcase innovation beyond the industry standard required by the Green Building Index, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, Singapore’s Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark or other recognised green-building certification. The competition Entries are judged on innovation, design, sustainability, relevance to the community, implementation and cost efficiency. For the competition entry, I was in charge for the postproduction of the Akasa Sales Gallery project. Architectural drawings had been simplified and rendered with photoshop to highlight the features of the building. The overall approach to the presentation of the to showcase contemporary approach to tropical architecture and in the line green building concept.

design concept Form Follows Functions, by having two inverted ‘L’ to frame the Sales Gallery of higher ceiling and the Show Units which require lower ceiling height. A bold 7m cantilevered canopy is extended from the glass box to emphasis the porte-cochere and to provide sufficient coverage for visitors.
