I’m especially interested in landscape design, since the city is conceived as a public space, where it expresses itself as a human collectively. The streets are the structure of the city, but at the same time, are those that generate its public space. Nevertheless, the city has been kidnapped by the car. I think we should start rethinking how we want to use our streets.

THE SQUARE MANAGEMENT CENTRE - BACHELOR’S FINAL PROJECT PINE HOOD - This enclave contains enduring traces of a farming landscape and the sporadic continuity of an expanding Mediterranean pine forest, with a disorderly scattering of constructions. Beyond the complexity of the territory, we postponed the global view until the domestic and social value of the space among the pine trees. Just one a propri: public space as a basis for a degree of urban life. The pine also became the origin of the layout prioritzing the natural underlying order. The layout of the farmland and other enduring genetic features characteristic of the local ladnscape were identified and used as the basis for the new layout.

Situated beside the Olympic rowing canal, it forms part of a complex of facilities that create a high performance centre around a natural plaza. The first strategy adopted was to naturalize the canal, to stop seeing it as a boundary and integrate it into the wetland landscape. The Square Management Centre acts as a link between the facilities that also generates a plaza in its interior, created as a meeting point for users. The facility has an unfavourable west-facing orientation, which is exploited to create a large foyer-filter, with the more public programs (auditorium and restaurant) positioned at the rear to protect them from direct sunlight, while the office and the rehabilitation centre are drawn back to create the plaza. In this case, the reeds growing in the wetlands are used to create vertical sunshading in the faรงade.

BRICK - SOLEIL CEVISAMALab 2015 First Prize CATEGORY B BRICK-SOLEIL is a piece of extruded ceramic 60cm in length, which is situated in ventilated faรงade as sun protection. Its trapezoidal shape allows the incidence of refracted sun, so that when they come inside sunlight do not affect directly, reducing the contrast of the exterior and interior. The pieces are anchored to the faรงade, for this uprights accompanying sheet metal bent on the rear part of the piece are used. This structure also protects the thermal insulation of climatic conditions, besides giving a visual texture that serves to accompany the pieces. At the same time, the parts are subject through metallic cables, allowing that are located in the gaps can be converted into pivoting so they can be oriented in the desired position and making easier, so there is an improvement in the ventilation and control of sunlight. Getting a chromatic range of three colours, the tiles allow the overall perception of the building is altered.

GRÅSTEN PLEJECENTER As part of my collaboration at WE ARCHITETS, I developed in the office the project Ringgården in Aarhus, collaborating at the same time with another office. In this case, I went into the detail of the section, the common spaces and the site plan. The proposal for the conversion and extension of Gråsten care centre is based on the values Security - Presence and Respect. The proposal tries to create a care centre that combines a de-institutionalized occupant experience with an attractive workplace. The new Gråsten care centre should create clear and safe environment for three vulnerable resident groups and their relatives, as well as optimal conditions for staff. Gråsten Care Centres beautiful location overlooking the water, is a unique quality that should be emphasized and expanded upon even more in the rebuilding and extension of the centre. The beautiful surroundings support a positive physical environment and contribute to a nursing home with confidence, presence and respect.

SALTHOLMSGADE - AARHUS As part of my collaboration at WE ARCHITETS, I developed in the office the project RinggĂĽrden in Aarhus, collaborating at the same time with the housing organization Ringgaarden and JWH Arkitekter. The project combines a classic dense housing block with a roof-house design. The top floor consists of smaller scale buildings, incorporating references of the historical buildings along Hjortensgadesuch, such as pitched roofs, in a modern interpretation. The roof-garden offers common and green spaces on the top floor to offer all the inhabitants an overview of Aarhus. We have won a social housing competition, consisting of 38 apartments, in Saltholmsgade, Aarhus.

TRYGFONDENS FAMILIEHUS - AARHUS As part of my collaboration at WE ARCHITETS, I developed in the office the project Trygfondens Familiehus in Hammel, collaborating at the same time with other offices. It is our vision to create a beautiful and peaceful house where aesthetics and healing architecture meet, a haven for distressed families who find themselves in an extremely vulnerable situation in life. In the development of this project is therefore taken a clear based on the individual needs of families for a midweek break. Basically, it has resulted in 3 concepts that have been consistent for the development of the project: homeliness, Community and Privateness.

LISTRUPGRUNDEN - NORTH OF DENMARK As part of my collaboration at WE ARCHITETS, I developed in the office the project Listrupgrunen, collaborating at the same time with another office. In this case, I went into the detail of the site plan, together with the project diagrams. Listrupgrunden are a number of homes located in the north of Denmark, where the green areas generated must be shared by all the residents. In this case, the housing situation comes from the area shape and the orientation, which generates one only access to the site. The position also creates a permeability between buildings that allows the views from any point from the surrounding forest.

GELLERUP HILLS As part of my collaboration at WE ARCHITETS, I developed in the office the project Gellerup HIlls in Aarhus, collaborating at the same time with JAJA. In this case, I went into the detail of the different proposals. The area east of Torv Eshøj is one of the few not determined and undeveloped areas in Gellerup, and therefore there is the opportunity to create a very different environment and architecture. This must be done based on the area’s existing qualities that constitute potential to create new and exciting accommodation facilities and communities. Establishing 4 potentials for the area that will be instrumental in establishing a new diverse, social and safe district.

ELS QUATRE ANELLS DE SANT MARTÍ - LA SAGRERA SAINT MARTI’S FOUR RINGS project is situated next to the new Sagrera Intermodal Station and Camino Comtal Park. The project is divided by the Rambla Prim, which connects to the park, but at the same time is divided into four rings, where the main flow of vehicles is perpendicular to the park, while the horizontal have pedestrian’s priority. Each of these rings has a facility where metropolitan scale equipment is located in in the Rambla Prim, while the rest, of neighbourhood scale, are located in the interior of this. The neighbourhood has a height of 7m, which is solve through slopes that do not exceed 2%, although in some cases have to use steps to resolve it. The tallest buildings are located on the outside of the project, where face the park four hybrid buildings, with part of the ground floor open to connect the park inside the neighbourhood; regarding the buildings facing with Rambla Prim, those decrease in height having six plants and in this case on the ground floor are located shops, while the buildings at the end of the quarter, with also six plants have the open floor to Prim to connect it with the park. Thus, the buildings inside, are hanging from an axis with restricted use for cars forming a kind of spine. It is in these buildings where most housing are located. COMMANDMENTS 1.
