AIR MOVEMENT CONTROL
IN ACHIEVING INDOOR THERMAL COMFORT AT WIKASATRIAN, BOGOR Wikasatrian is designed with the concept of passive design in the natural environment. But it uses air conditioning to reach indoor thermal comfort. This research focuses on air movement which the main factors determining thermal comfort in the site, building envelope, and indoor space. Case Study : Wikasatrian Owner : WIKA Reality (subsidiary PT. Wijaya Karya) Location : Jl. Pasir Angin, Megamendung, West Java Function : Leadership Training Center Architect : Yu Sing, Akanoma Studio Measurement point on the site and environmental scale showing the results on the site indicate that air moves in a comfortable range and moves towards the building
AIR MOVEMENT AROUND BUILDING
SECTOR 4
In the area around the building, research was conducted in 4 sectors to determine the characteristics of air movement that can enter the building.
SECTOR 2
sector 1 - tends to move up, and is received by large openings at the main entrance sector 2 - tends to move up, and is received by large openings at the auditorium area sector 3 - is in the wind shadow area (outlet) sector 4 - is in the wind shadow area (outlet)

3 SECTOR 3 1 2
SECTOR 1
Classrooms are (outlets) that receive air movement from the lobby The lobby area gets direct air flow through the main entrance, but other openings do not allow air movement because it uses top-hanging windows
The auditorium area gets direct air flow through the main opening, but other openings do not allow air movement because it uses top-hanging windows Library are (outlets) that receive air movement from the lobby
CONCLUSIONS Controlling air movement in the arrangement of the environment can be called effective because it can direct the air flow to the building. the main cause of the problem of heat and humidity in the building is air flow cannot enter the building optimally. this is caused by the use of openings type that are not in accordance with air flow patterns around the building. the use of openings type that do not alter the direction of air flow vertically is highly recommended to optimize the air flow to achieve indoor thermal comfort

WORK PROJECT Each project has different characteristics. experience in designing is needed to enrich architectural knowledge and to know real conditions in a project. Different projects need to be addressed by design methods that are in accordance with existing problems. The complexity of the design produced depends on the context of the place, function of the building, applicable regulations and needs or desires of the client.
